Glad we won but my god we need shooters.

Nice win after being down by 19 in the 3rd quarter. Still would've liked a better ending than PG and Schroder going 1/4 from the FT line. That's not good enough.

We say this, but the difference is that he went 3/4 on mid range pull ups in the fourth. He did resist a quick three that was there but it's just proof that it's a make or miss league.

I'm happy PG13 stayed and pissed off all the lakers fans but can he start playing like he used to?

Our small line up was great against this Charlotte team. Not sure would be as effective against other teams...

schroder's two pull up threes in the beginning of the Q were even worse. this team is fighting uphill against its decision making and shot selection a lot of the time.

I didn't even get to start watching until we were down 12 in the 3rd quarter. 6 o'clock to about 7:30 is the heart of feeding kids, bathing kids, and putting kids to bed. I don't know why I didn't bail when the Hornets lead ballooned up to 19, because usually I would have.

Glad I stuck it out.

That step back was NASTY, but if you're forcing guys into that shot you did your job.

No excuse for Abrines not to get this many looks every game going forward.

Yeah I just settled in for the night, leave work around 730 and got some groceries and whatnot. Streamed the beginning at work (yay 2 monitors), but box score watching glad Abrines got it going.

Yeah, schroder's shot selection was god awful and it makes it absolutely pointless playing him and Russ together.

So glad I never jumped from the Alex Abrines bandwagon. This guy is a difference maker for this team.

That was a good ass win. On the road with PG shooting like crap. The bench and Russ saved the day.
If Billy Donovan would get his head out of his ass and play Abrines consistently, it would help the teams shooting woes.

So the last two games it was Ferguson being surprisingly impressive, then abrines, couple that with diallo being the bright spot of the first few games and the sg position has provided the most fun so far this season.

As everyone has suggested Abrines needs to get at least 25 minutes a game. He has shown enough chops on the defensive side to be trusted.

That post was in response to the layup he hit. I still feel more comfortable with russ’ midrange than his three. That being said, yes it’s a make or miss league. Get more shooters.

A couple of quick notes:

-Russ hiding from playing defense is not going to help this team
-I think Schröder was decent defensively
-This team is going to keep fighting uphill battles until Donovan realizes that some lineups just won't work
-Jerami Grant has no role on this team
-Abrines-Patterson needs to play, but Donovan refuses to put that lineup out there
-They play disciplined defensively more often than not, but then can't reward themselves on the other end. And at some point, the defensive breakdowns start happening...

This is just the 2nd time in Thunder history that two Thunder bench players have scored 20 or more in the same game. The other time was in February 2016 when Kanter and Waiters combined for 45 points. So the 46 between Schröder and Abrines should be a new record.
