Good for Philly. Should be a fun season. Philly needs this bad. Very limited IMO, but now with Butler are going to very dangerous.

Let’s see what’s up. Celtics better get their **** together. Giving away games early on because they treated preseason like a joke.

Philly awfully light on shooting. How long before Butler ruins Simmons and Fultz?

We better get our act together quickly. Gonna need at least the 2nd seed with how strong the top of this East is right now.

If things work out, Philly just got a lot more scary.

Butler isn't exactly the most lenient teammate however, might have to keep an eye on how he meshes with guys like Fultz and Simmons

Covington and Dario was really the best offer out there?

Now people won’t be able to say the East is weak and downplay our Finals birth this year :)

Out of nowhere, damn. As long as they don’t turn around and trade Simmons for AD, we’re ok. It’s a year - he may not stay - he’s another ball-dominant player - but that’s a Kawhi level upgrade. Let’s see what happens with Rozier - maybe Danny has something up his sleeve..

Butler, just like the Sixers in the past 30 years have won nothing. Who cares? Celtics just need to get their act together and they will be fine.

Why didn't the Wolves take Houston's 4 firsts offer?

Because it probably was never offered. Or at least in the form that makes it sound great.

That's because preseason IS a joke. It has been 12 regular-season games and the Celtics still aren't even CLOSE to being accustomed to playing with one another yet. You seriously think four PRESEASON games where guys weren't even playing regular minutes were going to make a difference? Can we stop with this ridiculous narrative already?

As far as Philly, this definitely makes them better, but my Lord; they have ZERO shooting now. The only good shooter they have left is Redick.

Meh.

In before Butler turns strictly into a spot up shooter.

Not talking about 4 preseason games. Talking about the practices and getting ready. Brad said he wasn’t happy with the preseason, and it looks like they didn’t put in the work chemistry wise.

The actual games? I don’t care. But they look like they need to figure ****. And are using November to do it.

LMFAO. Did you seriously just put Jimmy Butler's name in the same breath as Kawhi Leonard's?

Better than the Houston rumor.. Miami might have had a better permutation on the table at one point. Surprised the Wolves moved Patton - supposedly he was a reason they did the first Butler deal - and they still have Dieng’s money.

If we wanted to do Rozier/Saric (I don’t), now would be the time.

Covington is a perfect Thibs guy - he’ll ground Wiggins and Towns with his defense without hampering their growth like Butler did. They could start Teague/Wiggins/Covington/Towns/Dieng to try to get Dieng’s value back up. Dunn/Lavine/Lauri still beats the hell out of what they just got - a horrible episode for the franchise overall.

I think Andrew probably meant relative to the team. I think he was just saying it makes the Sixers a lot better similar to getting rid of Demar and adding Kawhi.
