At what point do we blame Stevens? He has been handed a loaded team and they're roughly over .500.

At the end of the season if we don't achieve what we set out to. I think he's done more than enough to deserve some time

I recall posters saying this team would win 65+ easily. This is a young team man. Winning just isn’t that easy in the league.

We don’t even know what we have with Tatum and Brown. They were decent last year during the season, and came on big during the playoffs. Kyrie is good offensively, but we all know he alone can’t carry a team. Hayward is slowly.. emphasis on slowly.. working back into form.

It’s going to be a long year fellas.. full of ups and downs. I do think at some point Danny will be forced in moving Rozier. He won’t be that much of a factor in the end goal for Danny to risk losing him in FA. I could see if we were on a roll and he didn’t want to risk rocking the boat.. but the boat is due for a little rocking.

7-6 after this game. Good news is, the schedule gets a bit easier after this game.

I don't care how tough their schedule is good teams find a way to win and they're not doing that. Last night was the second time a sub 500 team beat them and they damn near lost the second worst team in the league Thursday. Celtics clearly have too many SF and and they don't fit.

This team is as disappointing as the wizards.

PS i predict Seth Curry looks like Steph Curry tomorrow night as the Celtics streak of making average players look like Superstars continue.

Wizards, huh. Well, at least you didn't say Cavs. That's something, I guess. :blank:

The Starters are the Big problem. The Wings = Brown, Hayward, Tatum, are all not doing well.
Moreso, they're in each other's way. At least one of them, needs to go to the 2nd Unit.

Bring Baynes back into the Starting Unit. Giving Horford some type of break.

The problem is Hayward and everyone knows it, even though they don't want to admit it. As long as he is allowed to play his way back into form, they will struggle to win. Take a hard look at his actual performance in the present. Forget about the past and leave wishful thinking aside.

He didn't play in New York and we played equally bad. Obviously until he gets tottaly comfortable we won't be as good as we can, but to say he's the problem is absurd

The Three Wings, are the Problem = Brown, Hayward & Tatum.
At least one of them needs to go to the 2nd Unit. Maybe 2 of them.

Don't see it that way. We started great with that group in Denver and even yesterday, just to mention a couple of the last few games. And we did it on both ends.

All of those 3 wings can do multiple things. They can all shoot (although they're not having a great start), they can all get to the rim (probably Hayward is more limited right now, but he compensates with his superior passing ability).

I don't think the problem is with the starting lineup or with those 3 coexisting with each other. We're just too stagnant on offense right now. We're running a very basic offense, which is becoming to easy to defend. It seems like most baskets we get are more difficult then they should with the talent we have. I think I remember one of Brad's assistants saying a few games ago that they were gonna introduce differet stuff as the season goes on, so maybe it's all part of the plan. I don't know.

Right now I'm just looking at the positives. Kyrie looked bad for the first few games but has looked like himself for a number of games now. Yesterday Tatum looked like the Tatum of last year, shooting 3s, attacking the rim. Hopefully it continues tomorrow and he can go from there.

Actually, I think Tatum is probably the one player on our team that has the ability to get fouls when he drives to the paint. It's a great "skill" in NBA right now, as we see with Harden, Embiid, etc, and we don't have many players who do that (Hayward is another one, but he doesn't have the force to attack the rim with consistency right now). That's something I'd like to see more of to get some easy points at the FT line. And I'd like to see more of him in the post. Move bodies, find a mismatch, give the ball to him in the post and he either scores, gets fouled or kicks it out for a shooter.

I would also like to see more of some plays that have been really positive for us so far. Hayward and Horford/Baynes/Theis pick and roll, Hayward and Morris pick and pop. I don't know, just some plays that I feel we don't run as much as we should. For the most part, watching our games, it seems like we just dribble the ball up the floor with no idea of what play we wanna run. Most of the time we only seem to know exactly what we want to do in ATOs (and we're still doing a pretty good job of that).

Again, Kyrie seems to have found his rythm, hopefully Tatum found his spots after that Utah game, Jaylen has looked more agressive attacking the rim lately (still needs to get his shooting back to what we saw last year) and Hayward will improve as the season goes on (especially his shooting). We also need to find ways to get more production out of Rozier.

All of this to say that I believe this is a team problem. Not a starting lineup, individual player or group of players problem.

We’ve had a brutally tough schedule so far with 8, soon to be 9 away games and only 4 at home, all against mostly good teams. I see us taking this game with Kyrie back, we always match up well with Portland. 2-3 on a tough trip like this wouldn’t be too bad.

We just really have to stop digging ourselves such big holes. Honestly may not be the worst move to start Baynes and have Hayward be a point forward off the bench for awhile until he gets back into shape. That starting lineup from last year gelled well with Horford and Baynes in the front court.

Yeah, on the Antoine Walker volume-shooter principle. They are down in makes to 14th in the league at .358, from last year's .377 for #2 in the league.

(But still #1 in defending the 3...)
