I think that if the Lakers can actually make the playoffs, Walton is gonna stick around for a couple of years. If not, he's on his way out.

Think about it, you've got LeBron on your team, plus a lot of future All-Stars on your team. If you can't manage to bring that team at least to the playoffs, you shouldn't be a coach.

Walton did some coaching under Steve Kerr before becoming LA's head coach, so he has some good experience. He's been in water ever since LeBron came to town, but that's not Walton's fault; it's LeBron's. He sets whatever team he's on into heavy water for whatever reason.

Canning Walton now or after this season would be utterly stupid. Minus Lebron, the team doesn't have much talent and they can add talent for Lebron next year.
