That said, I would be happy with a Beal deal as long as it doesn't involve Monk AND Bridges AND picks. My best guess is Monk+2 1sts+and either Batum or Marvin+Biz. Frank and 2nds, maybe Lamb can go too

I echo Braggins idea about pivoting to Porter if/when we get outbid on Beal or the Wizards shut us down. Moving Batum for Porter would be a coup.

Mostly unrelated to this beal stuff. we have a Dwight trade exception for about 7.8m right? We can trade that for a player and not have to include anyone else, right?

If we do trade for Beal, i would use that to trade for someone to replace whoever we traded to get beal.

Torpedoes our depth. I guess it kinda makes sense if we plug Frank back in at PF, but a TP, Bacon, MKG, Frank, Willy lineup isn't super exciting.

I wonder what **** mid lotto prospect we could swap Frank for (Mario Hezonja? Luke Kennard? Stanley Johnson? Justin Jackson?)

I am all in on Beal....probably can't unload Batum but some combination of CZ or Marv and Monk or Lamb and a lightly protected first may get it done.

My guess is either Marv + Lamb + Monk+ 1st OR Biz + Lamb + 1st for Beal.

Washington will need a SG to replace Beal and their center depth is trash. They might actually value Biz b/c he's such a good character.

I haven’t watched every game this year, but it definitely seems like Kemba needs some help. Tony Parker hitting 2 jumpers in the fourth had Kemba ready to name his son after him. So getting a secondary scorer is a must.

Here is how I see our players in order of utility they bring on the court as of now (this is not trade value)

1. Kemba— duh
2. Zeller— he helps our best player play better, and the drop off is so far after him.
3. Lamb- plays well with Kemba and can create own shot.
4. Bridges- most versatile guy
5. Batum- still has his nights
6. Mkg- defender and all of a sudden versatile with good coaching.
7. Tony Parker- sparkplug/closer in a pinch
8. Monk- still has firepower and underrated passer
9. Marvin- just hasn’t been good
10. Willy- shooting the ball well and has been better than biz
11. Bacon- like what I’ve seen lately
12. Biz
13. Graham
14. Frank

Trade value I have miles 2 and monk 3.

If we can turn Batum with Monk and a 1st attached into Beal that would be incredible. If we could turn Marv+Lamb (would have to pay him soon anyway) into Beal that would also be great. Honestly if we can get Beal without sending back Bridges, Kemba, or more than one 1st I'll probably be happy.

If I'm dealing Monk they're taking Nic. They can't replace Beal with a shooter with better range potential than Monk. Nic would also tame their clubhouse. He's no drama.

I agree that Monk has to be part of the deal unless they're looking to tear down with expiring contacts like Lamb and Frank with a ton of picks

I doubt we will be able to dump Batum unless it’s a third team involved. The wizards have no incentive to take that contract. I do think they could take one of our two year deals though (Marv or biz).

My prediction is that they will end up asking for Bridges to be included in the deal along with Monk and that will ultimately be the dealbreaker for us (as it should be). It’s just hard for me to believe that there’s not another team that can match our offer. For me the offer is still Monk, first rounder this year, Frank, and Biz or Marv. Is it worth putting another first in if lotto protected? If that’s what it took to get the deal done then I think I would strong consider it

I think we should ask about Otto Porter as well. If we can trade Batum to a third team like the Kings and replace him with Porter that would be a big win. Porter isn't the playmaker that Batum is but he's one of the best 3 and D wings in the league. His shooting would make up for losing Batum's playmaking ability and Porter is also the superior defender.
