Tough game against Patriots coaching. Vikings have a better offense set of talent. But no where near the coaching level.

If Rhodes is out, might just could kiss it goodbye anyway.

Looking at everyone's schedule, we can still probably lose 2 games and make the playoffs, especially if one of those games isn't Seattle.

That would assume everyone else keeps losing at the same pace. Best teams will be getting hot right about now. Vikings will or they won't. It's turning point time.

I'm just looking at the schedule. Carolina still plays the Saints twice. Seattle has to play KC. The Eagles play the Rams. Dallas plays the Saints. The NFC East teams are playing each other, and the Redskins lost their QB. There are no guarantees, but I think a 9 win team is going to make the playoffs.

Man, that's hard to believe, but I guess I'd take it. Maybe we could pull another run out of our ass like 87.

when the titans beat the patriots a couple weeks ago they had success rushing the passer, hopefully we can replicate that - especially with out d-line

Good call, it looks like you are on point.

I think the worst place to be would be hoping a 9 win bum team can back in but ok i get it's better than not. The defense sort of found its swagger against the Packers, and the OC finally chose to increase the average length of passing and it went up to 9 yards last game. If those two things hold into the next few games and they continue to avoid the useless tricky choices, then they have a chance to run the gamut and reclaim their names from last season. They need to stop looking at what other teams are doing and just finish the season as if each game is a must win for their own pride if nothing else.

They will need Rhodes for sure. But they did surprisingly well when he was out to finish that game too.

9 yards per pass like last game and they will have a chance. If it goes back to 5.5 there is no chance.

How good is the Patriots front 4 on the def line this year?

giants hanging on to win is good, and packers losing is always good - and panthers lost too

Here we go again. Who's the backup QB again? Cousins afraid to throw and holding it forever. Born of coaches chirping in his ear all week long about turnovers. Add Cousins to the long line of QBs this team melts the brain of. Nothing can kill a QB like a porous Vikings Oline and fear coaches.

The first drive was bad enough, run run pass punt. 2014 style. Second drive was going well with quick handoff action to cook, rollout by Cousins. Then after a nice first down from Cook, they blow first down on a lame sideways run through the middle to Murray with Cook on the sidelines "resting". Then call two long developing pocket passes to allow this Oline to fail them and for Cousins to show us how scared to throw he is. Wonderful team.

Just play 4 down football and release all the field goal kickers.

passing average might be 1 yard right now. Worst offensive minds in the NFL right here.

Return to Minnesota Vikings
