What are the results?

74/16/10, but a good 85-90% of overall Suns fans on Suns media polls wanted Ayton in the draft. In our forums polls it was around 50/50 for a while, and then hovered between 53/47 and 55/45 for Ayton as the draft got closer.

The consolations prizes are pretty good this year but Doncic looks like the biggest prize so far.

I'd love to read more about other rookies, and I think all the Luka talk in this thread is stifling the conversation about other rookies, many of which are having a great season thus far and/or are very intriguing prospects.

Checked who liked your post, wasn't disappointed. Anyway, nonsensical idea, posters will talk about who they want to talk about, if it's Luka it's Luka, if it's JJJ it's JJJ, if it's Ayton, it's Ayton. It will play itself out as it should, and frankly, I don't really get what you are trying to say. You are surely not suggesting that Doncic does not deserve the praise.

I see that reanimator is still alive. he was saying many funny things about Luka, one of the best was that he and Ntilikina were similar prospects, how Fultz is few classes better and similar.

My ole friend with me on his mind again

Yeah, its true I said that PRIOR to his final season at Real Madrid- Eurobasket- etc but I ultimately came around to him as a great prospect with a Manu type ceiling.

I find it rather odd you spam this thread daily 20 games into a rookies career beating your chest. Let these rookies breathe and grow over the next 3-4 years sheesh.

You and your cult are the ones who spoke with absolutely certainty that his name belongs with Bird, Magic, Lebron, etc and threw a fit whenever anyone was more cautious and reasonable in their evaluations. Something tells me if he falls short of that HOF/MVP benchmark, you won't be the type to admit.

Funny enough, I remember suggesting Luka utilizing post ups to maximize his skillset and it was people like you who went into a fit of rage because "he is a PG" and other nonsense because you take everything as a slight lol. Then I read this today:

He's proficient from the left block too, with a soft fadeaway for use when he can't bully his guy. The Mavs have scored 1.36 points per possession on trips featuring a Doncic post-up, sixth among 101 players who have recorded at least 15 such plays, per Second Spectrum.

I never said that his name belongs in the same sentence as great basketball players. I only said that his ceiling cannot be Dragic or Ingles, because he’s already very close to them. And then the sky opened up. ;) It’s early but some of your statements are funny even, if he regresses in second half of the season. Very funny. About post ups story, this is total bull, because he was doing post ups all the time in Europe too.

In the original Luka Doncic thread, I brought it up and your cult definitely pounced. I wasn't throwing out an Ingles or Dragic comp so I am confused. That is the thread where I said some uniformed things and you grew this little grudge you have now lol.

Then after that was locked and in the All Things Doncic thread, I evolved my position after watching him more extensively especially since he started flashing things I was concerned about prior though your cult was STILL irate that I wasn't on the generational first ballot HOF bandwagon.

I am ashamed of myself for contributing to your daily derail, especially because there is no way to hold you accountable 15 years out if all of the Bird/Magic/Lebron stuff is off the mark.

Have a nice day and I look forward to the next time you bring me up unprompted, friend :D

Ended with 36pts, 8reb, and 2ast. The stats seemed to be counted weird this game. JJJ had a block but it was given to Gasol. Either way he is so good when he is aggressive. I feel like there are stretches where the game plan is focused on Conley/Gasol and he ends up watching shots as opposed to going all out for the rebound. The Grizzlies also seem to have one big go for a rebound and the other get down the floor to get positioning with JJJ usually being the guy to try to get down the floor.

Doncic has been absolutely amazing but I’m not certain I’d take him over JJJ.
JJJ is the only rookie I’ll say that about, because Luka has amazed me.

I love JJJ but would probably take Doncic over him. I'm still very satisfied with who we got though and I think that Ayton and Bagley are looking really good too.

I would still go back and forth with JJJ and Doncic simply because Doncic is a pseudo PG and should be able to really effect games offensively. If JJJ shows more iso potential, its a wrap.

I feel like folks raved about the rookies last year but this class is something special. Quarter of the way through the season and there are already like half a dozen or more guys meaningfully contributing to their teams instead of just flashing potential. Crazy.
