Anyone can come on here and talk crap after the fact.
It's almost literally a major over reaction, any bad stretch, usually in games the team wins. Game after game. Take a look at the game threads. Almost nothing positive ever pointed out, massive overreactions to anything but perfect play. Would think he'd learn his lesson, eventually.
Let me explain, please.
I use message boards as an outlet. I'm very aware that I'm overreactionary. Quite frankly, I don't really care. Life developments have led to me needing to find a better outlet to vent my frustrations. I am a highly competitive person. I was always the guy that yelled at the TV when my team was playing bad. I was the guy who yelled incessantly at the TV when my teams were playing poorly (my dad was the same way). If the stakes were high enough, I'd express my frustrations in embarrassing, juvenile ways.
Then, 3.5 years ago I got married. One year later I had my first child. 21 months later I had my second child. About two years ago, after I woke up my infant daughter multiple times yelling obscenities at the television I realized I had to change. So, I started using message boards to vent my overreactionary frustrations. Is it the best way to "change"? No. But it is better to come off as a little immature, overreactionary, and pessimistic on a message board around a bunch of people I'll never meet (most of whom I like) than to make a complete and total a** of myself in front of my wife and children.
hardenASG13, if I annoy you, that's fine. I can live with that. I'm very aware that my message board posting habits wear very thin on some people. But, again, that's much better in my opinion than doing something outwardly that could cause irreparable damage to my wife and kids.
Yeah man, it's certainly better than domestic violence. Just put it in perspective: they have been relevant for the past 9 years, as either a playoff team or title contender, playing in as small a market as there is in the league. There really is nothing to be mad about. Cherish it while it's here. Look at other spots free agents don't go (they won't sign in okc post russ/george....george wouldn't have even met with okc if not for the trade). Orlando, Charlotte, sacto, etc. They are awful for long stretches, decades. This is a good time to be a thunder fan, not a bad one. Just comes off as being spoiled by their success to me. They are perennially good, with 2 legit all stars. How many other small markets, or teams in general have that?

Why does Westbrook giving shoes out to fans indicate that something is wrong in your mind?

he only gives them to white kids.
And? It's a nice gesture. One that he certainly doesn't have to do. Why does everything have to be about race?

It's not even true. I've seen him giving them to black children at least twice. You should try to live your life through people and not color. Typical 2k18 race baiting

Of all the perceived injustices in America this is one you should probably let go of as some sort of coincidence (which it isn't even in my eyes, It's just Russ being a good dude like he always is outside of the games)

Just wanted to add, I don’t think anything that’s said in a game thread should be taken too serious. We’re all reacting to what’s happening at the moment. It’s not always a reflection of how we feel about the team or a particular players. I actually think it’s kind of funny NT just randomly shows up, gets pissed and leaves in the span of about 5 minutes.

Appreciate it.
Most of the time when I randomly disappear it's because I'm half-watching the game while helping with the kids. Having a 2 year old and 7-month old means I'm almost always doing something with one kid when they're awake. Most of our games start at 7:00 which is the early stages of finishing baths and trying to put the kids to bed. Usually both kids are in bed asleep somewhere between 8:00 and 9:00 which is why I can be very sporadic with my gamethread appearances.
Also, I'm a teacher which means most evenings I have work I have to do (lesson planning or grading papers) that I have to do after the kids are finally asleep so I'm not glued to the game or RealGM. It's tough, though. Some nights I'm up until midnight or later because I can't pull myself away from the game and have to get some work done before going to bed.
And other times it's just because I get so pissed off I just walk away from the game all together (turn it of or watch something else for a bit). But hey, if it provides a little bit of entertainment for fellow RealGM Thunder fans, then I'm happy with that.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Honestly it does. I know what to expect and it's in a weird way a bit of reverse psychology.
For tonight, enjoy the Jazz/Rockets game. It's marvelous.
