Rockets Sign Gary Clark To Three-Year Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Dec 6, 2018 10:51 pm

The Houston Rockets have agreed to a three-year deal with Gary Clark.

Clark was previously on a two-way contract.

Clark emerged this season as a key rotation player for the Rockets.

The Rockets recently waived Danuel Houston to create a roster spot for Clark, and will now sign him to a two-way deal.

Clark has done nothing lately. He's key to the rotation because we don't actually have any power forwards because the coach won't use them.

I cannot believe what I'm witnessing with this team.

I hope it's a minimum deal. Key rotation player? he's averaging 3/3 on <30% shooting. He's playing because HOU has absolutely nothing else!

Actually, he isn't known for that. Also, what spotlight? The Rockets stopped playing him if you hadn't noticed.

The f' is wrong with the Rockets. They still have Melo on the roster, just release him if you aren't going to play him.

Assuming the dollars are reasonably low, this is a great signing! Clark shot 38% from three in college over 141 attempts, including 44% on 62 attempts in his senior season. He also improved his FT% each season he was in college, up to 74% as a senior. In addition, he obviously has the tools of a solid defensive wing/forward and has already shown the inclination and ability to use those tool. A very promising three and D prospect.
