Why does Wiggs continue to not get touches when he is our #2/#3 option at all times?

I think we back go back to see loafing wiggins just standing in the corner the next game. Its clearly the role that thibs wants him in.

You can't tell him to be aggressive, yet go out of your way to shut him out completely.

To be fair he got a lot of good looks his shot just wasn't falling.

Then he should say to himself "damit I'm shooting us out of the game.. I'd better start helping in other ways" or a good coach would pull him if he continued to shoot bricks. Neither happened so both Rose and Thibs were horrible this game, stop making excuses for his bad game.

I briefly considered staying up for the game. Now I'm glad I didn't. Would have been too frustrating, I suppose.

I followed your path after starting to watch first q.

I had a hard time watching the first. Big Rose supporter for this team but I can't believe how many times in the 1st q he got blocked or missed on his layup finishes. I watched a highlight reel this morning for his part in the game and before the second highlight in the clip I think there was at least 5 blocked shots and 2 misses. It was so completely clogged under the net I don't know why Thibs didn't choose a different route or find some way to space or drag Nurkic out of there before allowing Rose to go back inside. Too frustrating a start for a late game to me.

Looks like they settled in and made it more competitive numbers wise after I stopped watching, but maybe others can confirm/deny that. In losses all I can ever ask for is a competitive game and looking as if they've at least tried to adjust things.

He must have warmed a little at some point. A majority of his misses might have occurred in the first. Misses and blocked shots out of the gate were tough to see.

Someone explain to me please why Saric, with +7 and 100% shooting in game, is not in the game for way longer to finish it off and doesnt get the ball at all. Not even as a spot up shooter, let alone as a creator. He was excellent from deep, as he is lately. I just dont get it.

Guys it’s one game. No need to overreact. The Wolves were up late in the 4th despite everything seemingly going against them but the Trail Blazers just made tough shots at the end. Tip your cap to them and move on to the next one

We were playing without a guy who's been absolutely crucial for us since the trade, and even with Rose's shot not falling at all we were in a position to win until Dame did that thing he does in close games.

Annoying to lose it, but definitely not the end of the world.

I did not watch game, highlights and have not read comments here. I just looked at stats box and scoring per qtrs. Can I make my false assumptions based on this? You will tell me if it is true

With RoCo out Thibs started Teague-Rose-Wiggins-Gibson-KAT lineup as results:
- POR closed paint for Rose, Teague, Wiggins. KAT and Rose had blocked, altered sots around rim and our drive and kick game was non existent?
- they defended well Karl behind 3pt line and mainly left Gibson alone to provide weak side help, because Nurkic is both quick and strong to give trouble to KAT and Gibson?
- Dame, McCollum just shoot over our undersized two PG backcourt?
- when Saric, Okogie and Tyus played together we made run?
- last minutes Thibs played same starters and we ran into same problems?

I mean, him having a good shooting night is pretty vital to the teams offense, if he were to come out who replaces him? He forced the ball to the rim a few to many times while the paint was clogged, but I don’t think he was THAT bad.he still added 9 assists, 3 steals and a block to his 18. His microwave offense is hard to replace which is why Thibs probably let him keep shooting.

I only could stay up to watch the first half because of work this morning. But reading the comments then watching the recording and it's almost like some were watching a whole different game

It's clear a few guys are going to blame the same players regardless of what actually happens

They had the lead but couldnt hold on. Dame hit some tough shots and the refs were awful

There were a few drives by the Wolves and the refs didn't blow a whistle. But they got called for everything on the other end

I dont see them beating the Warriors but they have to handle business after that game

When I saw it was a super close games with 2 minutes left, I had to bet on the team with two elite scoring guards. You don't want to be a clutch shootout against Lillard and McCollum.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Saric probably just needs more feeds. A little more involvement and really so when they notice his shot is hot. He's great defending and if shooting more can really help with spacing.

Taj has been hitting 3s pretty well lately. I know clutch time shot didn't fall in.

Got a chance to finish watching the rest of this game now. Rose wasn't half the negative mid to late that some were making out to be. He had that bad start with misses and many blocks. After a while he was a big part of why they kept in this one. He and Okogie and Saric. Rose' shot wasn't as hot as we've seen it in the past, but 18 pts after how badly it started and then as others mentioned already he was working it for others. This game was just too different from the recent winning stretch with Covington. Looked a bit like the first game after Butler was gone, before Saric and RoCo started.

But they battled and kept it close and in losses that's all I can really hope for. Could do with less pricks as refs tho. Playing is hard enough.

All those that wanted Lowry last season would have hated to see his game against Bucks tonight. It was fugly.
