So sick of watching our line get manhandled every single week.

Me 2.
Sick of the endless years of Oline weakness.
Sick of ineptness in offense coaches. Rollouts/bootlegs working. 3rd down, lets try pocket again because we are dumbells.

If he had just got the number wrong people would have understood. Wow what a mess. Wrong team called out. Wrong number and player as that guy did nothing.

3rd drive in a row came down to 3rd and short and 3rd time in a row they put Cousins in the nonexistant pocket to kill yet another drive.

Just rollout and maybe shotgun every single pass play. It isn't that hard.

Especially with how well he has passed on play action so far this year.

I'm officially done with Zimmer though. I hate hearing how he always tells his OC how to coach and play call. When you have two of the best WRs in the game, an Oline that can't create a hole to run through and a QB you're spending a ton of money on. You don't go to your OC and tell him to basically be less aggressive with his play calls and run more.

He butted heads with Norv and Norv left cause he couldn't take it anymore. Get rid of Him, get rid of Rick. Get a GM that will build an offensive line and go from there.

Totally agree. He doesn't know anything about offense and his conservative slant ruins everyone. Defillopo has been horrible this year if you ask me, but I have to admit I also know Zimmer has tied his hands with what he's allowed to do. The offense is way to similar to what they were forcing Norv to do when he got here.

Bears brought extra lineman and also extra defensive lineman in to the play to score their first touchdown yesterday. They knew what they had to do. Vikings could be playing with 6 Oline players every down if that's what it takes.

Ya mid way through the season I was blaming Defillipo. But ya like what you said I can no longer blame him because this is the same offense we've seen before. Norv was the high gunning OC then he gets here and it's the most bland conservative offense there is. Last year wasn't much different but Kase just had some magic last year.

Then Norv quitting and constant reports of Zimmer telling OC's to change their game plan. I'm done with Zimmer. First of all the grind it out offense doesn't really work that much anymore and second and most important. We don't have the roster to do that. We have the worst offensive line in the game. Bootlegs and screens could help (we rarely run screens), use the weapons that the offense has. To me it's clear that Zimmer has no clue with the sport that doesn't include defense. Don't get me started on how he treats the special teams.

that was a bad play call

if you are going to run that play on 3rd and 1, then you go for it on 4th

Return to Minnesota Vikings
