This is the kid I wanted at #30. The College Player of the Year would have made a worthy starting PG for years to come. Along the caliber of Jameer Nelson a decade ago:

Oh my...imagine if we had gotten Luka (my guy) and added another top 10 pick and grabbed Jamaal’s love Wendy.. wow..I’ve joked about Wendy a lot but I’m an old school guy and I admit when I’m wrong and I’ll admit when something catches my eye.

Wendy’s speech on defense and playing it with pride in this article is a breath of fresh air. I’m say a lot of young guys in the league go through the motions of playing defense..I’ve seen a couple rookies do it really well this year, our own Huerter and this Wendell Carter. I can’t dislike somebody that thinks this way about defense as well as knows when it’s his time to talk vs lead by example as a rook.

There's nothing they could offer that should be enough for us to move off a guy we think can be great. We can't be cute here. Draft the guy we want at 3. Play around with the 19 pick and whoever on the roster to move up.

I'd be okay with unprotected picks from the 2012/2022 draft class.

Doncic = Young + future 1sts.

Hell, we're still in asset acquisition phase as far as I'm concerned.

Oh god, this is just so horrible, and this is why the Hawks is such a loser franchise. :banghead:

Jamaaliver wrote:^Yeah, I don't think TS can actually draft Trae at #3.

That's the kind of decision that can get a GM fired immediately if it doesn't work out.

But at #6...well. :dontknow:

Maybe we were both right

This kid looks good early.

He is what NYK thought they were getting with Frank Ntilikina last year.

He probably should have gone to CLE at #8 instead of Collin.
