people seems to ignore how much different the game was in the Karim's era.. karim in today's game wouldn't take 40 shots per game like he used to do back then.. why you think he was scoring so much? every good player could average so many points if he was taking so many shots.. just saying..

I had never seen this thread until today.

Junior Bridgeman's number is retired and Marques Johnson's isn't.

He shot like 54% as a Buck on about 23 shots per game.

Seems pretty good to me.

We only have Kareem's last two seasons for per100 stats. The best of the two he had:
33.4/15.6/4.5 assists per 100. Approximating off his earlier seasons, he doesn't seem to have surpassed that number. His last couple of seasons the pace actually slowed down to just above and below our current pace.

Giannis is at +4.3 points, +2.4 boards, +3.4 assists per 100. Kareem has him on blocks by 1.9.

Kareem played 9 more minutes a game than Giannis currently, Giannis has the 61.8 to 55TS% advantage but I'm guessing relative to their competition they are similarly efficient.

Giannis is now one more moderate improvement away from being the best player in the league. A reliable corner 3 would probably do it

I think better decision making would probably go further than a corner 3

This rabbit hole of a thread guided me to 2 things I completely forgot 1. RJefferson was actually an efficient 3 pt shooter with us. Shocked he was that high on the list. 2. He was in the league last season. Shocked that he still was playing after all those years when I assumed he was done with the Bucks.

Assists: 1,640 - PP 3,272. > 50% after game 25.
Steals: 502. No 1 is Quinn Buckner with 1,042. 19 steals needed for 50%.
Blocks: 548. No 1 is Alton Lister with 804.

Fun fact: with steals, blocks and 3PM it’s easier to get on the Celtics or Lakers list than on the Bucks list. LeBron is on the Lakers 3PM list already.
With point, rebounds and assists the difference for no 50 is not as large as I thought.

I guess the NBA isn't a very old league and non-stars don't tend to stay on the one team.

Brook will be on the 3PM list in a few games and on the blocks list this season. It would be nice if the target to get on these lists is at least 100. With 100 blocks you’re 42th and with 100 3PM you’re 45th on the list. With the 3’s the bar will be above 100 in a few years I guess.
