Kevin Durant On Free Agency: 'Nobody Can Recruit Me No More'

In discussing his impending free agency, Kevin Durant said he's beyond the bells and whistles of a recruiting pitch and would rather see how teams operate on a day-to-day basis.

"Nobody can recruit me no more...I want to dictate the environment that I want to be in," said Durant.

Durant added that he wants to choose an atmosphere where he'd enjoy coming to work every day.

"Doing extra [stuff] just for me? Like nah, I just want to see if you are a real person. If you are going to hold people accountable every day. Are we all going to come to work and enjoy basketball every day? That's exactly what I'm getting here".

I really don’t think there has ever been a more unlikeable player ever in any sport ever. outside of athletes that commit felonies or are just dirty, out of normal people, he is just the worst

in my understanding he is preparing his bags. he will choose a team where he will be the first and strongest superstar.

he knows the environment. he doesn't have to hear anyone's "pitch". at the end of the day they all love playing together

Sounds like a perfect fit with the Toronto Raptors with Kawhi Leonard. A non-diva superstar who he can get along with who quietly goes about his business.

The hate for KD makes me laugh.

Basically he took a better job ... just like everyone here has done and / or will do themselves.

You couldn't be more wrong. We got 2, possibly 3 titles because he signed with us. He will always be beloved by the vast majority of Warriors fans.

Durant isabove the level where you need pampering or a pitch. He wants a joyful,technically elite kind of ball and a good place to spend winters. I'd BEEN in OKC. Not impressed. I quite enjoyed many years in N Cal.It's ALSO good to be king of the mountain. D is no fool and he knows an ideal situation. :clap:

Durant's a smart dude. He wants to see how the team is run rather than steak dinners and bullshitting. This type of thinking is logical but almost revolutionary today, which is sad. That should be the norm.

With that said, Knicks need to immediately shape up their front office and operations. :nod:
