if its easy to do.. you mind adding, total rbs..as well as the # of games each of them played, would tell a much better picture. All but 3 of them are bigs, so not surprising they are far behind on asts.

LeBron ruled out against the Knicks. Seems this absence will stretch on for a bit.

From another thread:

LeBron’s 2018 playoffs run alone compares favorably to Jordan’s BEST runs.

2018 LeBron’s Playoffs vs. Jordan’s best playoff seasons

• LeBron: 22 games and 922 minutes played

PER: LeBron—32.2, Jordan—32.0 (1991, 689 minutes played)

LeBron’s PER is the highest of any player’s through the finals in NBA HISTORY

Win Shares: LeBron—5.16, Jordan—4.8 (1991 and 1998)

LeBron’s WS are the fifth highest total for any playoff season and he has four of the top six single playoff seasons

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/ws_season_p.html

VORP: LeBron—3.71, Jordan—2.8 (1991 and 1990); yes, it’s cummalative, but VORP per game would be 2009 James

LeBron’s 2018 VORP is the highest total for any single post season ever and he has 5 of the top 6 runs

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/vorp_season_p.html

TS%: LeBron—61.9%, Jordan—60.2% (1989), 60% (1990)

Box PlusMinus: LeBron—14.0 (was 14.9 after game 1) , Jordan—14.3 (1990), 13.8 (1991);

LeBron’s 2018 Box +/- is the highest for any player ever through the finals. Jordan’s +13.8 in 1991 was the highest ever for any player through the finals.

Total Points Added: LeBron—246.33; Jordan—186.19 (1990);

LeBron’s 2018 TPA is the highest total for any playoff season ever in NBA history .LeBron has the #1, 4, #5, #7, #10, and #12 playoff runs. Pippen had a higher total than Jordan in 1996 AND 1998.

https://nbamath.com/nba-individual-playoffs/

—So, at 33, in his 15th season, when 99% of all players are in terminal decline, LeBron played a post season that’s in many ways better than a hypothetical one in which we take the best of each one of Jordan’s playoffs seasons.

The whole Cavs teams for the playoffs had a total of 3.7 VORP (value over replacement player). LeBron himself was at 3.7. some other players were slightly positive, some were slightly negative so total overall was 3.7. So the 100% calculation is not entirely accurate. For example, Nance was at 0.5 VORP. So how can we say LeBron had 3.7/3.7 for 100%, while Nance has 0.5/3.7, but has 0%? Obviously it does show how little help LeBron had in 18.

Cavs’ playoffs VORP

LeBron James, 3.7
Larry Nance, 0.5
Kyle Korver, 0.2
George Hill, 0.1
Tristan Thompson, 0.1
J.R. Smith, 0.0
Jeff Green, 0.0
Jose Calderon, 0.0
Ante Zizic, 0.0
Kevin Love, -0.1
Cedi Osman, -0.1
Rodney Hood, -0.2
Jordan Clarkson, -0.5

Nance’s, Korver’s, Hill’s, and TT’s positive contributions were negated by Hood’s, Clarkson’s, Love’s, and Cedi’s contributions. In all, the Cavs wound up with 3.7 total VORP. James had 3.7 VORP, thus 100% of his team’s total.

What’s interesting is that a “replacement level player” is defined as a 12th man at the end of bench. You can get a G league player to be a 12th man. The entire Cavs roster played like a G league team outside of James.

Raw In/Out so far. Obviously keep note of the fact that a lot of other folks have been in and out of the lineup with injuries/suspensions as well in both frames.

Lebron IN (34 G, 20-14)

+2.48 SRS, -0.4 Offense, -2.5 Defense, +2.1 Net

Lebron OUT (5G, 1-4)

-5.86 SRS, -7.0 Offense, -2.8 Defense, -4.2 Net
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Honestly, I don't see what big splash the Lakers are going to make in free agency. KD was a nice dream for a couple of weeks in November, but we all know that's not going to happen. Kawhi seems to have narrowed it down to Toronto and the Clippers. Butler is staying most likely, and if he does leave it's probably for NY. Who else is there?

It's basically trade for AD or bust, and I don't see why the Pelicans would trade him to the Lakers, not just because the value of Lakers' assets continues to go down by the game, but also a matter of pride, like the Pacers refusing to trade PG to the Lakers or the Spurs Kawhi. No matter how good of a deal they get from the Lakers, everyone's gonna **** on the Pelicans for caving in and it's a matter of pride for them. If AD's coming, it'll be through free agency and that's in two years.

I think the Lakers need to trade Ingram + package for Beal, whose apparently on the market. LeBron + a top tier shooter can fix this offense and make noise in the playoffs. Then in the summer they can try to trade Beal to the Pelicans, or pick up a second tier free agent in the summer like Tobais Harris, Middleton, or Kemba, and roll the dice.

edit: such a shame PG didn't sign with the Lakers. They would be title favourites right now with the way he's playing and how the Warriors look. Also, it remains mind boggling to me they let Randle and Lopez walk for nothing while signing Rondo, Lance and Beasley.

I didn't follow the Lakers last year obviously, but I think he's referring to Randle being treated unfairly, Russell being publicly trashed by Magic, etc. all while the organization is trying to develop a reputation as player-friendly. Lakers fans also have noted Luke having a very short leash on Lonzo this year when Rondo's available.

Kind of funny they let their best young player in Randle walk for nothing to the exact team they're trying to trade their young assets to.

Also, it seem incredulous that in this day and age that a cornerstone, historic franchise wouldn’t use an analytics department, having shooting coach, have a staff of Walton and his first bros, etc.

19th rated offense. Its definitely a change of pace from the Cavs being bad on d and great on o but this is the worst offense he's played on in over a decade. But, unlike those ugly pre MVP CLE teams; LAL plays at a breakneck pace so the average may not pick up how blah this team is offensively.

The lack of shooting is just crippling. Haven't looked a the numbers in about 2 weeks but the last I saw they were damn near the worst spot up team in the league.

The overreaction his creation burden in CLE last year led to him searching out Rondo and Lance instead of functional shooters. It makes thing a lot harder than it should.

The Cavs this year are rocking a +7.5 relative Drtg, tied for 3rd worst all time.

Maybe we were a bit too harsh on Bron defensively the last 2 years, this Cavs system is something else.
