How is it only a five point game
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Paul.
George.

Don't like what I've been seeing this first half. Too much Schröder (please give some of his minutes to Ferguson or Diallo), not good enough defense, no chance of stopping Nurkic.

I think, even though it is still bad, Westbrooks shooting looks better/more smooth than the past weeks, I think he is improving there.
The bench looked decent (but so has Portlands bench).

So far this is the typical b.s. game in Portland. Feels like we never win up there.

Adams misses a wide-open 5ish foot push shot that would've given us the lead and Aminu comes down and hits a three.

So frustrating. We need Adams to do something.

They beat us everywhere, now. We are 1-7 against them the last two years. After tonight, it feels/looks like we'll be 1-8.

But yes, they always beat us in Portland. Even since before Durant left.

we start off the third quarter having to hide our allegedly defensively improved point guard on al farouq aminu because he can't defend pick and roll properly.

Defense is horrible efforts it horrible but he are still in the game somehow. Why cant we get a call Nurkic is moving on all his screens and Grant get pushed every time he touches the ball.

Pretty much, we're at the mercy of whether or not PG can score every time down the floor against the Blazers because Nurkic has Adams so mentally shook every time we play them.

Aminu catches in the corner with his man right on top of him, elevates, and still calmly drains a heavily-contested 3-pointer.

Noel picks Lillard clean two-possessions in a row.

Nice.

Why does Donovan play PG/Adams/Russ pretty much the entire 3rd and then start the 4th with an all-bench lineup?

Always scares me, especially against good teams.

If Schroder was actually good and could run an offense and score efficiently, I'd be fine with it, but Schroder doesn't do either of those things well.

Very good effort and a nice stretch to end the third quarter.

Even if we lose, which is still a big possibility, and Westbrook shoots us out of the game, which is also possible, I am very pleased with Westbrooks improved shooting.
I think he is starting to look more healthy, has more lift and continues to improve.

Noel looks good and Fergusons defense is very good and is getting even better, his combination of lateral speed and length is outstanding.

I’m glad Schorder heard my trade call early. It woke him up.

I still don’t like him

Unless I'm mistaken, Russ is 1/6 this quarter. His one make was a wide-open fastbreak layup.

That's starting to worry me if he keep forcing jumpers.

this has been a very impressive game defensively for terrance ferguson. c.j. has been in a cage and he's doing his job on switches and help. i'm really impressed.

Awesome.

Haven't won a game in Portland since February 2014.

Had a sluggish 1st half and still beat a quality team on the road; a quality team on the road that has completely and totally owned our souls for a long time.
