I agree. That would be an overpay.

I doubt that'll change for AD. We're already a thin team, sure 3 MVP caliber players is great but what would we even put around them?

You can’t make Ferg untouchable in an AD trade.
Basically the only guys that aren’t traceable are Russ and George.
You’d also likely need to take back Hill to help the Pelicans get off of his salary
Ferg is an elite perimeter defender, is certainly going to be better from 3 (his release is beautiful), and he doesn't look nearly developed yet. You expect him to put on weight and develop his shot/handle/defense further at his age.
He'll probably never be as good as AD, but I doubt AD resigns with OKC and we get to have Ferg cheap for the foreseeable future. If AD actually committed to OKC long term, then I trade Ferg. But no way would I do a Derozan - Leonard type trade where I'm giving up Ferg for the hope of resigning AD. He's too valuable to gamble.

Well, Butler and AD are in a different universe. You can make an argument for Adams being as valuable to a team as Butler. You can't really make that argument with AD.

Holiday is similar to Conley: Good PG, injury prone, bad contract.
Mirotic and Randle might be interesting as well, but it might be tough to match salaries and get them enough playing time.
Moore is something you look at if you don't think that Roberson is a part of your plans going forward.

Demps is a horrible GM so nothing surprises me but "staying competitive" would be an interesting choice considering they aren't competitive.

Anyone think the Pel's would have interest in Schroder?

Several teams told ESPN that they're already weighing the possibility of making offers for Davis, including contenders who'd be willing to use Davis to chase a championship this season and perhaps recoup assets lost in a trade to New Orleans by flipping Davis at auction after the season -- or keeping him into the final year of his contract.

Ill take those odds in Toronto. The fan base is already on the end of their seats why not double down. The deal would have to start with OG and Siakam. Those two would excite me if I am New Orleans front office.
