Might not be the kind of shooter you're looking for, but I personally really enjoyed The Division and the sequel is coming out at the beginning of March I believe. Beta next weekend.
Thanks for the info on the beta, I’ll probably give it a go. I played the beta for the first Division and felt I got my fill and didn’t need to buy the game. Hopefully the sequel does a bit more for me.

I think you might need to pre-order to be eligible for the beta, but obviously you could pre-order, try the beta, and then cancel afterwards.
I don't know if you've really paid any attention to the Division 2 updates, but a quick summary of some of the changes:
- Takes place in Washington DC instead of NYC and it's no longer snowy; I guess it's more like DC but kinda overgrown with wildlife to an extent
- Three separate dark zones instead of one now. The main dark zones are also normalized so you won't end up in a battle with other humans that can kill you in one shot while you do no damage to them. There is an end game dark zone that is NOT normalized though.
- Game will be released with a few PvP modes; sounds like basically a Team Deathmatch mode and a Domination mode (if you're familiar with COD and Battlefield's versions, it's essentially the same). These modes will be normalized as well.
- Added turrets to the Dark Zone entrances that will attack spawn campers so you won't just get murdered over and over before you have a chance to move.
- Added some new special abilities, weapons, and I'm sure new customization options as you would expect.
