I don't understand the Fakers. If they trade for Davis, they can't sign another max free agent this summer. Davis also has a 15% trade kicker and they have Luol Deng on the books still which means they can't add minus smaller deals. It makes no sense. Lebron and AD while gutting your roster isn't winning the finals. You are just selling tickets.

Lol seriously.

"Hey Danny, I know you guys are 33-0 over your last 33 games, but we just put Kevin Garnett into a time machine and reverted him back to 2004 form. You want him?"

"Nah. We are 33-0 over our last 33 games! We don't need KG!"

Thinking any GM in the league wouldn't want to add a superstar player because of their current record is piss-poor logic.

But there was very subtraction involved in adding Durant. When the Warriors could have swapped Klay Thompson for Kevin Love they didn't and everyone thought they were crazy but in the end they were right, the cap flexibility allowed them to sign Durant. There is some lessons in that as well. Anthony Davis has huge production on a bad team but you can't expect him to have that same production especially playing with James. But even if you bring him to Boston he won't put up the same numbers.

I am pretty confident in the prospects of Tatum and Brown being All Stars. Maybe not MVP caliber players but All Stars and guys doing it in a winning environment. This isn't Al Jefferson and Gerald Green these guys are legit and did it in the post season. We just watched Anthony Davis go off in two games against these Celtics scoring 27 and 41 and getting blown out both times and one of them Kyrie didn't play.

Davis is a great player and would love to have him. But to this point he is a lot more Kevin Love than Kevin Durant.

In that second Pelicans game, Kyrie, Horford and Hayward all sat out. Gordon was sick.

We have receipts on this person being an insider? Would be weird to have a poster that posts on such a low traffic board(theirs).

He's been around for 4 years, and other members treat him like we treat reload. Has also mentioned other rumors such as Bucks trying to obtain Mirotic with Maker. Sixers are also interested.

If the offer has already been leaked probably it was already rejected.

Uh, no they don't.

Solomon Hill has two years left on his deal and eliminates LA's third max slot.

This actually means they think no one else is coming.

LA will use the stretch provision.

They can do this, get AD with LeBron and have a significant amount of money, not sure how much. Maybe mid 20s.

Deandre Jordan is interested in going back to LA, if bought out. So D. Jordan, AD, LeBron, Hart, and KCP or Rondo are starters, if NO is stupid enough to take their offer...

Celtics hosting the Lakers Thursday night. Looks like a solid shot we
a) face a depleted Lakers team
b) face AD in his first game as a Laker, if a deal gets done by tomorrow.

I still think he stays in NOLA until the off season, but option B should make a for a fun Thursday night

reload had said he was out of the loop lately and could not promise anything. He was too busy in his own life. But he also said a lot earlier in the year that the Celtics wanted to go for it this season with the current team they had, they believe this team has a real chance.

CelticFaninLBC wrote:The Lakers offer is pretty meh. Ingram's the only one who could become really good. Kuzma's a volume scorer and Lonzo brings along his idiot dad, and probably gets shipped to Phoenix for their junk.

The thing is that if they had kept Randle instead of giving the money to Rondo, Randle would have made that trade a done story.
Pels loved Randle and that's why they got him.
If Randle was in LA, a package of randle/kuz/BI/picks would have made AD easier to get.

imo Lonzo is the best player and the one who can become great in the future.
His defense is amazing and he can certainly run an offense. His size is a big plus.
There's no reason to believe that a 21 yr old can't improve his shooting in the future.
His dad is huge problem and a headcase indeed.

Kuzma will be a good scorer but he won't be a starter for a championship team.
Brown is better and he can actually defend.

Ingram is disappointing. Simple as that. 3rd year in and he hasn't worked on his body at all.
Take a look at Simmons body. Giannis body. Ingram is lazy and he's not working.
He's more skinny that manute ball.
His playmaking seems to be improved but he continues to have bad shot selection(awful at times) and defensively his only advantage is his length. But he hasn't got the strength to support it. You can easily bump him and get by him.
Tatum is miles better.

This is such an insane high stakes game. If we don't get AD, Kyrie may walk to NY. LA needs AD now, because in the offseason he's likely ours and they don't want to punt another year to maintain cap space.

Our one contingency is talking Durant into the opt-in and trade, which may be a long shot, or could be lined up already...this **** is nuts.

Worst case scenario we have a fun young squad of hoopers, the best GM, and the best coach, so I'm not really sweating it, but this is some ****.

Pelicans have a full 15 player roster. The Lakers trade offer is 6 for 2. Everyone will know if the Pelicans want the Laker offer if they do another trade. Something like a 2 or 3 for 1 deal.

Got to wonder at times how they schedule these games when they do.

Or they're desperate to pair Lebron with another superstar

It's funny how the media went from "Kyrie needs to be the man of his own team" to "Kyrie can't survive without AD/KD" after like a single phone call to Lebron James to talk about the past.

If Pels are about to trade Davis would you trade Kyrie in a 3 team deal to get Davis to Boston?

My thinking is Kyrie could very well leave if Davis goes elsewhere. Sucks to lose Kyrie but we would be the best team in the east and I think we could convince Davis to stay. Smart - Brown - Tatum - Horford- Davis is godly defensively. Tatum I think would make the AS team next year given more shots and play making duties and would be the "2nd star" to Davis's MVP.

They can't. They won't have enough cap room to sign another max free agent if they trade for Davis now.

Still not enough for a max slot. They'd have to make another trade first, like KCP or something. I'm not sure even that gets them there.

Not sure why this is assumed now.
