So yeah, why wouldn't we want to add a generational talent like Anthony Davis? It's no guarantee that having one wins you a title but it sure makes the task easier. Pair Davis with one of the most prolific and clutch scorers of our generation (both just entering their primes) and you've got a perennial contender in your hands.
Well unless your crystal ball told you Tatum is turning into SF version of Tim Duncan and Brown into the next Scottie Pippen, I'm siding with the people who will give up their first born for AD.
I want titles geddemmit and not just ECF appearances.
I argued this with ViperGTS when he said staying the course like the Warriors or Spurs did is the smart play. They could afford to stay the course because they both had or have guys that will go down as top 15 players ever.
I don't mean to be a dick about it, and everyone knows how i feel about Smart and Tatum....but it's a no brainer for AD. That said, I would love to trade Morris/Rozier for Isaac/Augustin then use their contracts alomg with Tatum/Jaylen, that way we can keep Smart.
