Its literally madness to say that we have to drain our prospects and will willingly comply while also saying that you wouldnt be ok with it if dagis walks.

To ignore that possibility is career suicide. Like letting durant leave for nothing KNOWN for years he was out.

And yet you're so aggressively happy to give the pels whatever they want instead of negotiating.

Of course they will negotiate.

In the end we trade Tatum to get a top 5 player in this league at age 25.

This is not Cousins, George, Butler or even Kyrie. We’re talking an entirely different tier of player here. A once in a lifetime opportunity.

AD and Greek Freak are gonnna be running this league in about 2 years. The time to pounce is right now

And Davis wants to go to the lakers and Danny wont trade him without an extension.

And since he wont. Danny wont and it's all settled. It's pretty simple. Danny isnt giving everything away and hope he can sign him.

I don’t care what he wants

He can’t just “go to LA” unless he waits until Lebron starts collecting social security.

There gonna trade for him because Danny isn't trading for him without an extension. Which isnt happening.

Have you forgotten about Jokic maybe or Embiid or even Zion who could be next SHAQ ?

Davis is better than all of them, easily

Why? So the pels accept an offer they just refused? And by holding Tatum out it reduces the lakers offer as well because they dont usve to try as hard to top it.

Davis is being traded. Period.

Davis doesnt want to he here. Accept what he said. Dont tell me he didn't day it.

Now, why does Danny tell the pels you can have everything you want and then hope against hope that he stays. Why is Danny NOT using that as leverage against the pels?

Explain to me why Danny isnt doing his due diligence to negotiate down? In fact, where are the conspiracy theories saying that Davis him self is doing it to get him self to the celtics with tatum?

This trade isnt happening if it involves Tatum. That's all that matters.

I don’t care what Davis said.

The Pelicans are holding out for Tatum and we’re gonna comply. Rightfully so

You dont care that a walking injury doesnt want to be here?

You'll feel good when he leaves for the lakers anyway?

So you believe the reports that say Davis wants LA but don’t believe the reports that Ainge doesn’t care and wants to trade for him anyway?

Ranking players as all-time greats is complicated.. under current NBA rules, Curry’s shooting makes him special - it might have been Ainge who called him the GOAT shooter - range, quick release, ability to get a shot off from anywhere, moving in any direction, without much space.

Don’t forget the Warriors were an also-ran until Kerr figured out how to engineer them into a super team. Some of that was following league trends and some was defying and defining them.

You could also argue they’re closer to the Pistons model than people think because the best player in the league during their run, Lebron, was on suboptimal teams - and the second-best, who almost knocked them off in the playoffs, joined them that summer.

I’m arguing both that the Warriors have best in the league superstar players & that they prove you don’t always need those superstars.. If Kerr had taken the Knicks job, it’s possible the Curry teams would have no championships.

You have to think about great players and their situations, too - like, IT1 beat the Jordan Bulls, Jordan beat the Magic Lakers, and the Blazers with Drexler, who won a championship with Hakeem, who beat Shaq, who would routinely come out of the west over Garnett, Dirk, and Duncan, who beat Lebron, who lost to Curry...

Curry/Durant, Lebron, AD, Giannis, Harden, maybe Jokic, probably Westbrook, maybe this year’s George, Kawhi, maybe and soon Kyrie, are all great players at the top of their game who can be the best player on a championship team, but all of them need the right luck, the right teammates, and the right path to a trophy.

A good test is - if you swap Kyrie and Curry, which team is the favorite? Giannis and Durant? Harden and Kawhi? If there’s no one else who could replace you that year and keep the team afloat, then you’re a championship franchise player.

Hes not coming to Boston. That's the only thing that matters.

Unless Tatum isnt the gamble. Then maybe. MAYBE.

Name all the 25 year old first team all defense big men who can hang 40/15 on you any night of the week in the NBA right now.

Hint: there’s only one

Yes. Because Danny has literally never done that AND Davis him self said he wants LA. Through his father and agent.

This is also true. If AD doesn’t change his tune the offer isn’t likely to include Tatum.

AD is going to have a change of heart about Boston pretty soon.

All this 'doesn't want to play for Boston' is in service to a short term angle - get him to the Lakers now.

If that fails, you'll see things change.

I’m sure Davis doesn’t care what I think at all, we’ve never met.

Our trade compensation has nothing to do with the entitlement of one Anthony Davis. It’s to acquire him to win an NBA title which we would be the favorites after KD leaves the Warriors

It's enabling entitlement to trade for him despite his preference for LA and the strong-arm tactics his team is using to try to get him there?

Your point is self-defeating, and your critical thinking skills are outclassed here. Slow that roll.
