Wow very interesting but I feel we go with a big due to baynes being out for a while and resting horford. Lopez, kanter, morris, perhaps someone that hasn't been talked about yet ? I don't see knicks regarding jordan but he is the best to get if he is waived. I'd take lopez over kanter though.

Former scout/video guy for about 4 NBA teams, so not a sauce it appears. Seems legit but Murphy's source disagrees.

Kanter is awful on D and brings unnecessary drama. Gortat is a lesser version on O but better on D.

Seems like the buyout market will be very active this year, players like: Kanter, Wes Matthews, Teodosic, Robin Lopez, Ben McLemore, Marcin Gortat and later Kent Bazemore, Jeremy Lin and Dewayne Dedmon will all be available. But I don't see any of those guys moving the needle for us against the Raptors and Bucks.

If Dedmon is available that would be nice

Yeah. Kanter is probably going to want minutes, and we just can't give that to him regularly here. Gortat would definitely be a better fit.

Pelicans are the place I thought Rozier would end up before this season.. but they can just sign him outright.. so why use an asset trade slot

It’s Tatum/Brown/Yabu/buyout MLE and a boatload of picks

Or S&T of Terry starting around $16M/year and declining so he's worth $8M going out.

He would have to agree to it and he would only do that if the Pelicans promised him the starting gig

Yup, it's more complicated for sure. But if we can keep Smart and Brown instead, it's worth it.

I see it like this .. our weakness going forward is the center position, the only playoff C we have is Baynes, and he gets winded easily, Horford is much more valuable and efficient at PF, Theis is too small and weak, and Brad will never play the Time Lord in the playoffs. Plus we are going to face a lot of big centers, Gasol being the newest on the list.

So Danny will be looking at either Robin Lopez or Marcin Gortat, both are blue collar guys that can potentially work well with Kyrie in the pick-n-roll, although i doubt run it many times. Their main advantage will be on the defensive side, both much better then Kanter. The only minus is their 3 point shooting.

Or maybe i'm wrong. Either way, **** LA

The Celtics need a shooter for the second unit. I'm fine with Theis and the Timelord backing up Horford until Baynes is healthy.
LOL, if Ainge does indeed snag AD, their weakness at the center position will be fixed in one swell foop.

I think we need one more big banger just to throw at the likes of Embiid and Gasol. Gortat would be ok.

The Spurs are rumored to be working on a buyout of Pau Gasol. If he goes to play with his brother in Toronto....

It will make no difference on Toronto and where they go.

I'm going Gortat or Robin Lopez if he gets bought out. Would rather take a shot at Ellington or one of these shooters over Kanter though. Dude just wouldn't be able to stay on the floor in the playoffs.

Look for players who’d be willing to sign two years: I don’t think Wellington or Kanter will, so they are out. Lopez and Gortat probably would.

Meh. They don't need another 5.3M in salary from a buyout candidate for trading purposes. Give Morris a 1+1 deal starting at $15M and it's done. They only have to get to 21.6M.
