it doesnt matter what he takes... he is restricted and the nets will match any offer.

Especially a "discounted" offer. Teams would have to offer a full max with a trade kicker plus to have a chance.

Would like to see dlo shoot better against the top teams esp against more lengthy/athletic/physical defenders. Shot really bad against bucks, the nuggets game he did better. Then only went 8-21 against bulls last night. If he's gonna take 20+shots at least make 10 of them. Defense and rebounds also need to be better.

would be nice if that's the real Brandon Ingram lol. I would take him as a reclamation project...and turn him into an all star

From Pooch on Twitter:

The Nets wanted D’Angelo Russell to buy in defensively. Have at it:

Among 89 players who have averaged 30.0+ mpg since Jan. 1.,
Russell’s defensive rating (103.7) is eighth-best in the NBA, trailing only Lonzo Ball and Donovan Mitchell among guards.

38% from three
Defense improved
Assists up, points up, rebounds up FG% up, FT% up, PER up, TS% up, eG% up and Nets are over .500

How many times was he fouled in these clips and didn't get the and 1 call? Ridiculous.

Strong, aggressive drives to the rim and even when he didn't have it going shot wise in the 1st half he was making the team around him better.

Give this man his respect. He's an all star level player. He's scoring 20+ points a night like it's nothing to him anymore. The light switch has been officially been flipped on.

He is now averaging 20.1 points per game after last nights performance. Last night was really a signature performance from Dlo for me. not because he had his best game, but because he didnt shoot well, yet still dropped 28 points on ok efficiency (28 points on 21 shots isnt great but its certainly average or better). And he did it with ease against one of the best teams in the league.

4 points and poor shooting in the first half... came out and dominated the third quarter. 24 second half points and with his shot not falling he drove and lived in the paint and setup teammates for wide open shots.

You know a guy has arrived when he cant hit a jumper but still drops 28 points and 14 assists. His FT rate is also climbing. I've said for a while if Russell ever figures it out it will be because he turned into the PG version of paul pierce. he is only 22... by 25 or 26 he is going to have learned he can draw fouls with his step backs like pierce. he has become deadly from mid range and step back threes and has back dribble on step backs is flawless.

He also had a huge clutch shot at the end on that 3.

He has improved this year in: ppg, apg, spg, tov, blocks, steals, fg%, 3pt%, ft%, PER, TS% PPP, WS, DWS, BPM, RPM

LeBron might need to reach out to Russell this summer for advice.

His character and leadership has been top notch this year.
