Good lord I just checked over the cap curious about our situation in 2020 and we're already at just shy of 160 million with only 30 players under contract. The cap pinch becomes very real next year

Yeah and not a lot of obvious dead weight besides Graham. They better start hitting on these draft picks and hope these recent signing don't bust. Not a lot of their own free agents to sign but imagine Clark will get a large contract.

I could've sworn there was an emoji of a smiley face spinning down a toilet.

That's the 2015 draft.

Drafting a safety to move to corner, and then drafting a corner with 4.57 speed. TT: The Later Years

Looking at that draft it shows how quickly things turn cause early returns on that draft actually looked really good after their rookie years.

Both Randall and Rollins had promising rookie years. Montgomery showed some promise as a WR. And Ryan looked like he would be at least an average starting ILB (although I'd argue he at least was that) and Hundley was looking like a promising prospect that we'd be able to flip in a few years

If all of them had continued the trajectory that they showed in year one that wouldve been a monster draft. Instead their career absoluty cratered in GB and now we're feeling the effects

Now we have:
Preston Smith, Round 2 (#38 overall), 2015
Za'Darius Smith, Round 4 (#122 overall), 2015
Adrian Amos, Round 5 (#142 overall), 2015

Was thinking the exact same thing. It looked like we had our CBs of the future and a bunch of promising players after one year. Lot of 10 cent heads though in that group and just some general unluckiness.

Packers should've implemented the facial recognition software

Yeah that was the start of the down fall.

I was just looking at that the first couple rounds of that draft and man it was a **** class in general. Tons of big misses across the league.

Only for 1 year, $5 million too. I don't get why we didn't match that.

I like the talent we have at corner (I really like Tony Brown) but I would like to get one more corner just for durability sake. I don't trust Kevin King to stay healthy for a full season.

I'd take another CB with one of our first three picks in the draft, simply due to King's inability to stay healthy. You can't count on him to be out there for 8 games, let alone 16.

I like Brown too -- he was one of the lone bright spots on last year's team.

I think Brown and Campbell showed some glimpses in the secondary. I wonder if the Pack are going to bring Campbell back when he gets healthy.

I think they will. Think Nagler or someone on the Packers beat mentioned that Pettine really likes Campbell and was making great strides until the injury. Could be one of several guy's competing in camp for the other starting safety spot opposite Amos.
