Ok...then STFU and GTFO.

Knickgm2190 - welcome to the board. The STFU and GTFOs might throw you off, but it's all love! There's no hazing and all posters are welcome to post their opinions within the board etiquette. Just take your STFU and GTFOs and proceed. :D It's all in fun.

Let's get this back on topic. Hot take - Frank hopefully will be on the roster next year, but in the Ron Baker role with time to grow?

Thank you for the welcome. It's much appreciated.

I can understand Not knowing about such a tradition here but, when its "respectably" brought to your attention as I've tried to do, one would think you would understand and if not, just move on instead of being accusing people of being sophomoric.

I'm going to keep it moving and look forward to seeing how "other" posters here relate to you

That's not as complimentary to Frank as it might sound. I'm just saying that a borderline elite perimeter defender is worth more than a 2nd round pick.

That's why I am confused by the urgency to trade him.

I see him as the potential Eric Snow complimenting Allen (Kyrie Irving) Iverson who was a poor defender.

Official Frank Ntilikina Thread

Post#204 » by Phish Tank » Tue Mar 26, 2019 3:05 pm

FWIW, we see lottery picks flame out because their egos won’t let him accept being a complimentary role player. Hence why role players last longer in this league.

For us - who rarely keep and draft lottery picks - we have a savior complex with our picks. They need to be stars or they’re a bust.

Frank will probably never live up to the #8 pick expectations (mainly the savior complex). But if he lasts 10+ years in the league whereas someone like a Steve Francis, or potentially he should not be named flame out earlier.

It may not be in NY. probably won’t be as a PG. but who knows. Who would have thought Boris Diaw would have a longer NBA career then Troy bell and Marcus banks?

STFU & GTFO - 50% of your posts aren't talking basketball. You love the sound of your own typing.

He's not going to last if he doesnt play. You cant be sitting out essentially an entire year because of a groin pull. Either that or he's sitting on his own because he isnt happy with his role. Either way, not great.

Why my reaching out to a new poster to say the tradition here wasn't that serious (I went through it along with many) would ruffle your feathers and motivate you to attack me is odd since, to my knowledge, we've never had an issue? Am I missing something?

Except it wasn’t a groin pull, it’s a groin strain. Why did LeBron’s physical therapist suggest bron wasn’t fully recovered yet?

It’s not even an issue of age, look at baseball. A ton of players suffered groin strains and missed more than 2 months because of it, look at Gary Sanchez... and that guy in Cincinnati will miss 8-12 weeks because of it

I have every right to post on this forum as you do.

Gary Sanchez isnt exactly in pristine shape himself. Frank's young and always hurt. At some point, you have to play through it a bit. I think it's already over here though anyways.

Before this season, he missed 4 games. Unless you care to count the summer leagues and preseason - which don’t really matter anyways.

He’s played more games than some of the other PGs in that draft.

But sure he’s “always hurt” when it’s been one injury that kept him out the chunk of the season.

It’s bizarre but DSJ has only played about 6 more games than frank this season. It’s weird.

Talent and skill is a separate issue. But if you think you should play through groin strains, then you’d be the worst person to have running a team medical staff.

Same thing with DSJ and his back

I think the groin is where the offense originates from. It's just Frank's offense trying to drop.

I know you don't like to hear it but they might just get rid of them all for AD.

i don't think new orleans wants what we have. unless we get zion and msg is not giving him away for nothing. he's gonna be the most popular rookie since lebron. he's a license to print money.

Plus, Zion can play off the ball while AD will want the ball in his. Someone has to play the 3rd fiddle (Bosch)role and no one wants that role forced on them. Zion is the perfect compliment.
