Not a great advertisement to the fans who show up for the early season buzz... I always pray for fireworks game 1 and 2.

We are not going to score many runs this year.

Pat and buck going on about the poor fan having to leave the ballpark for interfering with the ball in the top of the 9th of a game we haven't scored a run in was pretty comical, at least. I'd be thrilled to get a ball and stop watching. I think the intentional walk to Chris Davis was... Enlightening. Oh hey look Castro coming in to finish us off. That's pretty fitting too haha, smdh

If I am doing the math correctly, I believe Vladdy is going to have to hit approximately 4 homeruns a game for us.

Pitching staff has an ERA under 2.00, is striking out more than 11 hitters per 9, and has also taken the L in four of six against two of the worst teams in baseball.

Only 4 Ks. Just can't hit. Great to see Rowdy have success, though.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

The Rowdy Tellez career arc remains deeply weird. After years in the minors where his numbers looked like they belonged to someone other than a 6'4" slab of chuck steak, he reaches the majors last year and hits exactly like you'd think a guy of his build would: dingers and strikeouts galore, walks not so much.

If he can keep the Ks down a bit, and the walks perk up (something that tended to happen in the minors as he adjusted to new levels), the return of his pop gives him a shot. The DH-only profile is seriously out of vogue, but if he can be lefty CJ Cron, that's useful.

If you have a large appetite for tube steak, I suppose you could even justify going to the game on economic grounds.

Only a matter of time before our offense gets it together. Hopefully it starts tonight!

Grichuk seems to like his new contract. Let's give him a new contract every day, shall we?

Shoemaker looking like the guy he was before his arm started falling off regularly. Will have to reserve judgment until he faces an actual offense that might penalize his dinger-proneness/makes it through a month without spontaneously turning into a pile of ash, but a promising start.

Have always liked pitchers with a splitter or forkball. He just doesn't throw very hard for that type type of pitcher, I think when he loses some velocity that will be the beginning of his problems as well as facing the red sox or yankees.
