Seahawks Believe Russell Wilson Would Like To Play Elsewhere

The Seattle Seahawks believe Russell Wilson would like to play elsewhere, according to a source. Wilson hasn\'t said this to the Seahawks and may never express it.

But the feeling is Wilson could drive a harder bargain on his contract with the Seahawks than he would another team.

Wilson was recently asked by Jimmy Fallon about a rumor that he could end up with the New York Giants.

\"I\'m not sure if the Seahawks are gonna let me get away,\" said Wilson.

Wilson and his agent, Mark Rodgers, continue to talk to the Seahawks about a long-term deal.

Wilson could take a year-to-year approach if he doesn\'t sign an extension with the Seahawks.

There is no way in hell Russell Wilson should make more than $20M. Trade him.

based on overall revenue alone, the cap SHOULD be raised, and all players deserve to be paid more than they are.
this is a basic question of ethics.

Yes he does. He has gotten better every year & is now a Top 5 QB in the league. You don't underpay guys like that who has a Super bowl title (he played a part in it too along with the defense & Marshawn Lynch), was in Superbowl 49 & nearly won back-to-back, hasn't missed a game in his entire career, & is the key clog now for the Seahawks winning games. Without Russell, they'd be lucky to win 4-5. As long as the deal isn't in the $40 million range, I agree with it. He's only 30 years old & will be 31 after this season, so he's still in his prime. I'd like to see a 4-year deal at around $30-$35 million per year.

Russ will become the highest paid QB in the league & he absolutely deserves every damn penny of it. The dude has balled out & has become one of the faces of the entire league because of it. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't have a clue.
