Yeah, I'm absolutely lovin' this deal. I didn't think it was possible to get someone to bite for a 1st. Let alone to get a 2nd on top of it?

Fwiw the Chiefs just dealt Dee Ford for a 2nd (2020). Which they just traded for Clark & gave up a 1st! :biggrin:

This is a god awful deal for the Chiefs. Even if you're in win now mode, it's hard to justify that kind of payout/compensation especially when you consider how loaded this upcoming draft is for d-lineman.

We'll see about that as the Seahawks draft solid & do have a surplus of picks for next season's draft as well. As long as the team retains Bobby Wagner for the defensive leader he is, Seattle will be fine. The team has a Top 5 QB & Top 5 HC. There are some promising young guys in Tyler Lockett, Jarran Reed, etc.

The 49ers on the other hand need to bring it after overpaying Jimmy G for 7 career starts prior & unfortunately not having him most of last season. San Fran also has a D-line full of first rounders, no there's no excuse why they can't get after the QB. Maybe our division rivalry will make for interesting games as the Seahawks dominated San Fran for 5 straight seasons (since the NFCC game leading to the Seahawks being SB48 champions) up till losing to y'all last year on the second head-to-head matchup.

Nah Ford sucks. He had his best season once he hit that contract year. We traded Ford for a 2nd and sent that 2nd to Seattle, so we basically gave a late 1st for Clark, and he's going to be worth every penny.

You just better hope that he stays out of trouble. :wink:

KC apparently is willing to look the other way in regards to off the field matters.

The Hawks couldn't afford to pay him a hefty sum after the Wilson deal. So, I'm fine with how things have turned out. Good deal for both parties.
