Toronto clearly the better team. I got fooled into thinking we'd be competitive after winning game 1 with Vuc being a no show. I thought once he turned it on, we'd be a tough out even if Toronto tightened up on defense. Vuc just never showed up.

I hope Vuc goes to the Lakers. He will get destroyed worse than Dwight did.

Totally agree. Almost had game 3 in this series as well but Toronto made more plays in the end than we did. Orlando made an amazing run to clinch a playoff berth and competed the best they could until Toronto flexed their muscles and their talent took over.

Now looking forward to Weltman and Hammond to make our success sustainable and ultimately get us to where Toronto is now.

Well, what an awesome season. Didn't expect a playoff berth. Was gonna be happy with 30 wins, honestly. Played their butts off, and finished over .500

Played a much better team in the playoffs, and it showed. The downside was that Vuc and Fournier were pretty much no-shows for the entire playoffs. Gordon played his ass off. Really just needs to work on his jumpshot. The athleticism and heart are there for sure.

We would not be in the playoffs if it were not for Vuc. So I appreciate him for that. He is a good player too. Too weak on defense. No way would I be open to throwing max money at him this offseason with Bamba sitting there. If we got him on a solid 2 year deal I would be ok with it.

I don't follow the NBA quite as much in the offseason. Thanks for the fun times, and chatting during the Playoffs we weren't supposed to be in :) See you guys around draft time! Let's do this again next year!

Best season we've had in the past 7 years. No regrets. The guys all played hard and earned this.

We were blown out 4 games in a row.

Neither is getting by Milwaukee.

The second round of the east is when the playoffs really start. I think Boston, Philly, Tor have the better teams but Mil have the best player. It's going to be a great second round. But I am picking Philly.

Boston is the big question mark for me as they have all the talent in the world. I don't trust Embiid's health nor Philly's depth to make it to the finals.

Milwaukee's talent is always underestimated. Bledsoe had a great year, Middleton had a very solid year, and Brogdon should be back soon. They have plenty of talent besides Giannis.

Raptors fan here. I just wanted to tell all you Magic fans to hold your heads up. It wasn't too long ago when Toronto was getting swept in the first round and we felt exactly like you guys do now. Your times will come... take a deep breath move on and we'll look forward the going face-to-face again next season. Enjoy your summer all.

My thoughts exactly. And that's not a new feeling either, it's been there for over a year now.
Unfortunately they probably try to feature him next season so they can trade him or he opts out

Honestly, besides Mozgov (who's contract becomes an attractive expiring deal for this off-season and next season) I think he is the most egregiously poor dollar for production value in the rotation. He's been absolutely useless when he's not shooting well, and he has shot bad more than good most nights this year. For $17 million a season, he's simply not worth the money and easily replaceable. He's the guy I look to move first this off-season. Wouldn't even mind it in a salary dump.

Mil: Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe
Philly: Embiid, Simmons, Harris, Bulter
Boston: Ivring, Hayward, Horford, Jayson, Brown
Tor: Siakam, Leonard, Marc, Lowry

Who on the magic can compare honestly???? The magic need talent in the worse way

Fournier is really making 17 next year AND 2020. No idea how we could move that.

Ehh I don't appreciate you taking it personal against Vuc. I appreciate all that he's done here despite these playoffs (and the few previous years that made me not want to commit to him longterm after this contract), but he's been a professional and seems like a good guy that everybody likes.

Just so happens I want us to go in a different direction, but like Elfrid, Tobias, Oladipo, Mario, etc, if he leaves then I'll want him to personally succeed.

Eh... I would rather have a shot at Morant or Williamson but it is what it is. That said, hopefully this showed AG and Isaac what it's going to take to win at the next level. That's the only silver-lining I take away from this all.

I'm gonna try to ride it out until the clock hits zero. I'll have all summer to not watch Orlando Magic basketball.

Anyway, I might not post again tonight, so thank you everybody for making following the season more fun (speaking mostly from a lurker's perspective). It's been a surprisingly good season; too bad these last 4 games kinda sucked.

Very true. It was a great gamble by Masai and his staff though. I still can't believe how badly the Spurs got hosed on that trade.

Good thing we didn’t get embarrassed off the floor the last few games...

Return to Orlando Magic
