Reasonable price is pretty subjective.

When I take my daughter we always go there. Chicken fingers fries and a shake. $22. That's why I never eat at the game.

Yep, that's it with Chik-Fil-A. It's very good, reasonable price and safe. You're guaranteed a great sandwich. The other places in the Fiserv have been a lot more hit or miss.

I think taking a bunch of local places was a neat idea but moving from bricks and mortar operation to an arena is a whole different deal.

I stick with Cousin's at Fiserv. Can't get it down here in Chicago :)

It is indeed much different. Different employees, having to serve mass quantities. It will never be as good as their regular places.

As has been discussed already in this thread there are better and cheaper options nearby. But sometimes there just isn't time and you have to eat at the arena. Hopefully they'll make some tweaks for season 2.

Ok----- "*Reasonable price for being trapped in an overpriced environment"

Like my first time in Manhattan years ago, when a burger and coke lunch cost me $22. The coke was $5 alone.

Fiserv doesn't allow carry-ins (Food/drink), which makes a huge difference compared to Miller Park. At a Brewers game you can have a brat outside and carry in some peanuts.

That said, I don't think anyone will stop you if you bring in some snacks and food for your daughter. As someone without a kid, it is easy for me just to tell you to say no to your daughter getting food at the game.

ETA: It is amazingly cruel that the candy shop is right by the escalator on the upper level. Every single kid will see it on the way in and bug their parent the whole game.

Brewers are VERY liberal with what you can bring in. Drinks and food.

The Mecca Sports Bar and Grill looks pretty damn good inside. A 38 foot TV screen, yes please.

Yeah, she's a good kid and it's not the end of the world. I just like to piss and moan about it. :)

I enjoy going to Point Burger Bar postgame. Cheap beer and the curds are pretty delicious. The problem is trying to get a table/spot at the bar can be a hassle. Have to keep an eye out.

That TV was ginormous. Was hard on neck in that lower bar area, Haha. Seemed like a cool place overall. It was hard to maneuver in the lower part as was packed. Took a little while to get a drink but to be expected I guess. Upper level had a bar and some tables too. There was an outdoor area over looking the plaza that would have been nice but it was **** weather. (2) domestic pints and a 16 oz can of PBR was $16. Not sure if that is high, low or normal for the area I guess. Assume it will be a popular place to grab grub and drinks pre/post game. Kind of had a more upscale BW3 vibe to me.

Some food lines were long too. Chic-Fil-A at least moved fast at the half.

MECCA sports bar seemed nice but was obviously packed. Rain was a little buzzkill to pregame. I wonder how these places will do on non game/event nights...?

Punch Bowl Social was pretty empty yesterday.

I haven't been there yet. Is that a food/drink joint or more like games? Trying to check out a different place each time. So far I've only been to the beer garden, Good City, and now the MECCA.

I think it's a food/drink type place. There were 3 people walking in when I walked by at around 6:30 and I only saw a few people inside.

I had 3 left over wings from Goolsbys that I couldn't eat before game 2 of the Pistons.. Figured I would maybe eat them before the game and throw the to go box away prior to. Well, I had a couple drinks and was too full to pound them before I got into the stadium. I didn't want to be uncomfortable from eating like a pig the first hr of the game so, I decided to throw them out.

The garbages outside were full from the out door party thing, and the first garbage before the metal detectors was overflowing, I saw a garbage like five feet past the metal detector, so I just held it as I walked through the metal detector (with intentions of throwing it away).

They looked at me like I was walking through with a damn bomb. The detector didn't go off, but they had to confiscate the "suspicious box". I told the dude the garbage are full and I am just trying to throw my left overs away. They had like three people come over and inspect my 3 chicken wings... They tried to get sh!##y about bringing food into the stadium (which I can kind of get). I just calmly explained that your garbages outside are full, the one up front is full as well and has bottles falling out of it, I wasn't going to be a dick and just shove crap in and have wings and sauce leaking all over the place, I saw the garbage past the detector, I was going to throw it away, I wasn't sneeking food in. It is clearly in my hand. One of the dudes was cool. Told him he was just trying to eat my wings, he laughed... the other two were a bit annoying.

I guess my point of this story,
I wouldn't mess around with trying to sneek food in.

Anybody ever buy tickets off of craigslist? I'd like to avoid as many fees as possible.

Some of the ads ask for a venmo payment though first and then they send you the tickets. That seems sketch.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo, never send someone money via Venmo (or any other way) with a promise of sending your tix. CL is already sketchy as hell. I get trying to save on fees, they're outrageous but unless it's a $10 Brewers ticket or something like that I would use a reputable reseller. That way if the ticket doesn't work you get your money back.

What Mickey said. I believe PayPal lets you get a refund if the other person doesn't come through, but im not 100% sure on that. Only like 95% (based on buying concert and festival tickets across the country). Other payment apps don't do that.

If they try to give you a sob story, immediately back out, they are trying to get you to feel for em and let your guard down.

I went down to the game on Sunday and was looking around for tickets on the apps and on cl. Nothing on apps, so I inquired on cl. The guy tells me it's his mother's tickets and she's in the hospital. He doesn't care, and doesn't need the money so he's only selling them for $65, but need to Google pay before I get the tickets. Says if I don't trust a man like him I can come get them at the hospital in person (15 min from gametime). Once I started to take issue he immediately gets flustered and backs out. A few texts back and forth and yeah he's a scammer.

I would highly support this board flood him looking for tickets and waste his time lol.

Anyways, my brother has had good luck with selling tickets for March madness on cl. He's a business owner and his name and number are all over the website, and he uses that for credibility and accountability. I say go for it if you can find someone who will identify themselves.

With Paypal, you can do "friends & family" so there's no fees, but there's zero recourse if something goes wrong as it's meant to be used to just send money to people you know, not for buying stuff.

But even if you do the traditional "goods & services" option which comes with Paypal's "Buyer Protection", there's nothing to stop scammers from just not sending the tickets. You can file a dispute with Paypal but then it's your word vs the seller and without any proof on either side, Paypal will side with the seller pretty much every time. It would be different if there were physical tickets and there's no proof of tracking sent, but with e-tickets you'd be screwed.

So yeah, if you aren't going through a intermediary like Stubhub, SeatGeek or Ticketmaster resale, you'd better trust the seller 100% if you are blindly sending Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, etc.

Tickpick is my go-to. Seems to be by far the most reasonable.
