BOSTON —
Andy Jick, the longtime Boston Celtics and Boston College public address announcer, has died. He was 66.

BC says Jick died in his sleep Friday.

Jick was the P.A. announcer for the Celtics at the old Boston Garden starting in 1980 and through three NBA championships. The team led by the original Big Three of Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale also made two unsuccessful trips to the finals.

Cool Beans!!! So, the B's beat Toronto 4 -3, They beat Columbus 4 - 2. Next they will beat the Canes 4 - 1, and then go on to sweep the finals 4 - 0.

More likely, the make us suffer through another 6 o r 7 game series with the Canes, and finally pull off a last minute goal to win game 7 of the finals, and Boston becomes the first city to win 3 championships in one season. Unfortunately the C's just don't look like they have what it takes to win it this year (of course, miracles do happen!!!!).
