They have three firsts, right? I think they'll be alright. Plenty of options, Kyrie is part of a major logjam anyway. It's not like they have trouble attracting stars if they really end up needing one.
It’s a weak draft basically all those assets hey had are losing value quick including Brown, Rozier, Tatum etc.
Horrible contract for Hayward basically they aren’t in the great shape everyone thougt they were Last summer.
They are actually an elite team like we all thought in my opinion. They just happened to draw the Bucks in the second round. The bucks are a special collection of talents and attitudes that fit better than Celtics if you ask me. Celts can move some players to achieve a better fit and they have extra picks to also do whatever they need to. Other teams aren't as flip floppy about players' values as we are. Just because Rozier and Tatum have to share time now and we hear their names less for a season doesn't mean anyone in the league feels they are getting worse as players. It's just us, as we aren't forced to hear and see them as much.
I think they're elite on paper but it doesn't translate to the court. They've become a great example of how role and fit can play a big part in a team's success.
I'll give you that Tatum and Brown probably haven't lost any value though. Rozier did however. He looked bad all season, probably a combination of sacrificing minutes, being in a contract year and having higher expectations following last season's playoffs. I'm sure someone will still offer him a big contract (Orlando and Phoenix comes to mind) but he looked like a surefire All Star last year and that can't be said after this season.
