I'd love to see it all start with Kyrie Irving. He and James won a championship and beat the best reg season team all-time with Kevin Love as the 3rd star. With the plethora of young talent still in your grasps, signing Kyrie would absolutely put the Lakers in a position to put together a championship calibre roster by next season.

As a Raps fan on the opposite side of the basketball spectrum, I'd love to see Lakers back in contention mode.

Need to surround these 2 with elite defenders, shooters and with guys who have a proven track record stepping up when the team needs it most.
Go Raps!!

IF they sign a good free agent like kawhi Klay or Kyrie. Then there’s no need to trade for Davis. Look at the rockets clips situation. Clips had the same amount of success vs warriors as Houston this postseason. You need other solid pieces. No point of trading your whole bench cause it’ll kill you in the end.

Lonzo
Klay/ kawhi/ Middleton
Lebron
Kuz
Mcgee/ anyone

Kawahi should be our #1 target. Then work down the list from there

Kawahi I believe is most teams #1 target that got cap

But he wants Clips or LAL if he is out of Toronto. He could sign a short deal with Toronto but that would be risky he might not be able to sign in LA if others take his $.

The main question is if Kawahi says I want to come to LAL if Lebron is traded.

Would you do it?

If it is Lebron for AD? David Griffin has to land a big fish if AD is leaving. I think this must be on the top of Griffin's head.
Who can I trade AD for if he is leaving and what teams work for AD?

Boston for Tatum and a package. But AD could be a rental so that does not work good for Boston
Lakers for Lebron or the rest of the team

Clippers have a package too, Watch out for them they are trying to do what the Lakers are.

I think one team is going to improve a lot. It is going to be the Lakers or the Clippers but probably not both.
both will improve but one will take a much bigger step.

Im crossing my fingers that we dont burn our cap long term on C+ players when the big names inevitably go elsewhere.

So does GSW have to choose whether to resign either KD or Thompson this coming offseason? If so I hope we can get one of them... I think Thompson would prefer to stay in Cali too.

Conspiracy! GS KNOWS HE HAS A ACHILLES INJURY. And are using it for leverage for him to stay. We aim Kawhi then thompson, then make our way down the list

I really think d cousins has to be signed. Him or vucevic.

Then obviously Kawhi is the guy they want. And if not then I think about trading for a Gary Harris type.

There are some great defensive guard and Sg prospects into the 2nd even. Lu Dort at pg and Thybulle at sg would be great later picks.

My major worry is for this FO not to make the same mistake they made with Paul George with Kawhi.

Go hard on Kawhi whiles still keeping a hand on people like Kyrie and without letting him feel like he is a second choice. The best way to do that is to start doing your underground work and start feeling players temperatures without letting it out. If you get the feeling Kawhi is hot pounce hard else move on to the next hot guy and forget about Kawhi.

I believe Pelinka is a snake enough to get that done.

Well, technically, KD should be our number 1 target, but Kawhi looks more attainable on paper...

Just like everyone else:
KD
Kawhi
Klay
Kyrie
Butler

But if we've gotten to Butler, we've probably lost the NBA...

Kawhi over any one else. I'd eve trade LeBron if Kawhi doesn't want him on the team.

Depends who's on the team. There are plenty of good players but the MLE will be used to fill in a missing piece.
