Trade AD to Celtics for Tatum + 3 FRPs
Trade Jrue for picks and 3&d veterans
Use cap space to absorb bad contracts + picks
Essentially follow Net's model to slowly build things up

Without even considering other offers, a lineup of Holiday/Barrett/Knox/Zion/Robinson seems like a lot of fun. I'd probably want to move Holiday for a younger point guard prospect/picks, but they could also use a veteran to mentor RJ.

That’s a brutal lineup.

Celtics have better options

Holiday/Smart/Tatum/Zion and a center you find

Add in No. 14 and No. 22 and Memphis pick in 2020/2021, and no one is touching that.

Kevin Knox wasn’t good and Mitchell Robinson nothing more than a bench big man.

Is Barrett really that big a deal? Over Tatum? I do t think so.

Trade 1: End the Davis Saga
New Orleans-- #4, Bridges, Ingram, 2020 1st, 2022 1st, #32
Lakers-- Davis
Suns-- Lonzo, Future Lakers 2nd

Trade 2:
Chicago: Jrue
New Orleans: #7

Draft:
#1 - Zion
#4 - Garland
#7 - Bol (assuming Culver and Hunter are off the board)
#32 - K Porter

Dedmon | Okafor | Bol
Zion | Diallo | Johnson
Ingram | Hill | Miller
Bridges | Moore | Porter Jr
Garland | Payton | Clark

Let Randle walk
Re-sign Payton
Re-sign Johnson
Sign Dedmon

Suck for 2-3 more years but develop the F out of Zion, Ingram, Bridges, Garland, Bol and add future lotto picks to that core

Release all cap holds and exceptions except Darius Miller. Should have about $0m in cap space.

Jrue Holiday and Julius Randle to the Pacers for McDermott and a future first round pick (maybe top 3 protected). Now I have $29m in cap space.

Anthony Davis and Solomon Hill for Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, (Jaylen Brown or Jason Tatum), Memphis' pick and 2019 #14 pick.

Fire Gentry. Hire Becky Hammon as Head Coach. Sign Derrick Rose as starting PG for the MLE. That takes care of getting some eyes on this damn team, and also ensures a smooth tank since Hammon is a rookie coach and Rose is not that good.

Have Horford mentor Zion. Hire Ben Sullivan at any salary to work on Zion's shooting forever. Hire Robert Hackett at any salary to work on Zion's conditioning forever.

Tank till you have two guaranteed homegrown stars. Do not sign anyone to a big contract till that happens.

Anyone pitching keeping AD and potentially losing him for nothing has lost their mind. Ad walks you are left with nothing but Jrue to get assets on a bare team.

The Goal- Get Tatum, Brown a pick and dump Hill. This should be the main objective that will have the wings set for the foreseeable future. Brown/Tatum/Williamson is just a jackpot the other two teams can’t touch. Sign some hard nose vets and see what happens.

If Jrue wants out I trade him for depth and future help. Throw some money on a two year team option to Ricky Rubio

Rubio/Brown/Tatum/Williamson/Okafor

-Not taking the Lakers package unless I get every young player Ball/Ingram/Kuzma/Hart and 4. Flip Ball and maybe Kuzma for some higher end prospects or picks.

-Knicks will have to send Robinson, Knox, 3, Trier, Dotson, and even the sucky PG frank. Try to flip some of the pieces to upgrade in other ways.

Trade Zion to Miami

Miami sends Richardson, Johnson, Winslow and every draft pic we have

AD to the Knicks for #3 (RJ Barrett), Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, & a future pick.

Jrue Holiday to the highest bidder for draft picks and a young talent.

Currently their best bet imo. Much better than the Lakers crap offer (Ingram & Kuz wouldn't re-sign in NOLA anyways and Ingram suddenly has ?’s surrounding his health).

AD is one of my favourite players but he’s an unnecessary distraction and likely to walk anyway

Losing him for nothing would be a crime

There’s plenty of desperate teams out there so rip the band aid off

Knicks offer definitely looks best and as a kicker gets him out of the West.

Is it crazy to think trading Zion for an elite player to pair with AD, plus a combo of future picks + prospects is a viable option?

Here to win championships after all.

The issue is that Zion will be a financial gold mine in the short term for any franchise and I doubt that the Pelicans owners turn that down

Given his physical limitations, I have serious doubts that he is as good as promoted but that’s for the future

In the meantime, season tickets/jersey sales/sponsorship/televised games will go through the roof

To be completely honest and unbiased. Trade Anthony Davis to the Knicks. Anthony Davis doesn't want to be there and the bridge had been totally burned based on what we saw last season. The Knicks have the most assets to give

AD for

#3 Pick(Barrett or Morant)
2 First Round Mavs Picks
Mitchell Robinson
Dennis Smith (or Knox)
Dotson
The Pelicans can roll in with a young super athletic core of

Dennis Smith
Dotson
RJ Barrett
Zion Williamson
Mitchell Robinson (Low key potential DPOY and All-star)

That's a crazy strong young core with two more Mavs draft picks coming up

Knicks night not so this though because that's a lot to give up. 3 potential all stars and picks are a whole lot.

If they can get Tatum and Smart for AD that would be a good little core to add to Williamson and Holiday. They would probably increase their win total. Move on from the quitter ASAP.

The Pelicans are not trading Jrue. Period. Maybe they should but I can tell you they 100% won’t.

And apparently they aren’t trying to convince AD to sign the 5 year Supermax. They are trying to get him to opt in to his last year, giving them another year to show how the org has changed and what it would be like playing with Zion.

I don’t agree with it, but that’s the strategy.
