It's lebron. Durant gets to Iso with teams hugging Curry and Thompson. We saw him try to iso in the 2016 WCF and he went 12-31 and 10-31 in route to blowing a 3-1 lead.

Most would be surprised to learn KD has been assisted on .492 of his two pointers and .731 of his threes throughout his career to the tune of .543 efg. He has 2 of the 3 levels covered but isn’t a high level rim scorer in the halfcourt, pretty average for his size and the fact he spends time at all 3 front court positions.

Harden is assisted on a ridiculously low .187 of twos and .448 of threes (.161 this season!). .525 career efg. Mr. Iso in the flesh.

Kawhi, .420, .839, efg .548, respectively for his career but his recent splits show his growth away from the Spurs system: assisted on .283 of twos and .670 of threes, efg .546. He doesn’t dunk as much as I expected (1.25 times a game) but does get his fair share of And-1s, seemingly a lost art (2.35 per for his career).

Theres a dude smaller than all three thought to be an off-ball/ catch and shoot player who’s been assisted on only .327 of his twos and .621 of his threes to the tune of .582 efg, let alone the superior assist:turnover to the 3 aforementioned guys. Guess who.

Harden and it’s not even close to being close.

2019: https://stats.nba.com/players/isolation/?SeasonType=Regular%20Season&sort=PPP&dir=1&CF=POSS*GE*2

16.4 ISO possession per game, (John Wall 2nd at 5.6), 1.11 Points per possession. Great offense by a player who ISOs more than anymore by a humongous margin (most points per possession by a player using two ISO possessions per game+.

But look at 2018: https://stats.nba.com/players/isolation/?SeasonType=Regular%20Season&sort=POSS&dir=1&CF=POSS*GE*2:GP*GE*40&SeasonYear=2017-18

10 ISO possessions per game, an unbelievable 1.22 points per possession. That would be equivalent to the best offense by a team in NBA history by far using a play type that typically generates low points per possession.

In 2018, the best team points per possession on spot up shooting (play type that yields the highest points per possession) was 1.08 by the Cavs. Harden was at 1.22 points per possession IN ISOs. That’s absurd.

I don’t think how incredible he is at generating offense in ISO gets the attention it should. He’s literally doing something that shouldn’t be done or can't be done by anyone other than he.

It's not 2017 anymore pal.

Lebron is nowhere near the best ISO scorer.

Kevin Durant has the best offensive arsenal in the league imo. I'd trust him with the ball over Kawhi, whom I think is another elite scorer in isolation.

I made this point to my cousin who was complaining about kawhi isos. I mean kawhi would have it a lot easier if in Durant's shoes and having those outside threats, and even draymond green to throw the ball to. OK, not so much Draymond Green.

KD and Harden are very close.

Really depends on the scenario. Coming out of a timeout? Last possession off a defensive rebound? Need a 2 or 3? Do I need quick points on the board or do I get time to isolate for the last possession of the game? Or is this just at any point in time during the game?

Personally, if you want a go-to offensive weapon in a general isolation set, it's probably Harden right now.

But in certain scenarios, Durant would have the highest percentages in terms of getting the bucket.

Harden, pretty comfortably.

Durant is second, but a lot of his scoring does come from playing off ball as well.

Harden and if you say otherwise, you are deluding yourself. Slightly better isolation scorer than KD and Kawhi according to all stats and a way better playmaker in such situations than both.

I would have said KD who can score anywhere and is on uber efficiency levels on all kinds of shot types. Harden ignores the rules and farms isos, particularly the step back 3. Being a godsend on one move shouldn't make you a better ISO player, but if that's the only thing you do and it gets results, it's just hard to look the other way.
