Harden, and it's not even close. Anybody who says otherwise is bad at math.

Agreed. I don't see how this is anyone but Harden.

you don't think KD can average 36 ISOing every possession?

Don't think he can win 53 games doing that on the rockets, largely because he's not half the passer that Harden is. Also if teams game planned him like Harden, he'd struggle.

KD was constantly guarded very well before he had curry and klay to his sides.

Harden was a really good ISO player long before he developed the stepback 3.

In these playoffs Harden generated 1.05 points per possession in isolation. KD generated 0.99. Last year in the playoffs it was tied 1.1 each.

And remember KD has steph curry drawing double teams off ball while he in isos isn't getting doubled.

FYI last time KD didn't play with Curry in the playoffs was 2016 where he scored 0.75 points per possession in isolation (nba.com doesn't go further back).

I really don’t give af what the advanced numbers say. anybody with eyes can see when the refs swallow their whistles in the postseason harden can’t hold kd’s jock strap as an iso scorer.

And remember harden is playing dantoni/morey ball. the cheapest offensive system is basketball.

I believe if you keep saying "Harden disappears in post season" 100 times to yourself you are going to believe it too. Everyone will.

Advanced stats? It is a fact that KD hasn't been better at scoring in isolation in the playoffs the last two years. This isn't some formula. It is literally how many points they score each time they go into isolation.

Last I checked KD has curry on his team...there's nothing more "cheat code" like that having a guy who brings up the shooting percentage of all his teammates everytime he's on the court.

These are not "advanced numbers", this is literally how many points they have scored per isolation, which is the most basic stat possible for this and refusing to accept it because of the "eye test" makes no sense.

Another rule of thumb: if a poster comes at you and starts with "I don't care what the numbers say, just watch the game", ignore him straightaway.

There is no need to waste time educating someone like that.

I didn't say Harden wasn't a good ISO player previously. KD has always had a better arsenal (still does) and the percentages for those have always been ridiculous. That's what made KD better previously. The sheer quantity and the efficiency of Harden this season overtook that advantage

2.5 seconds left. Down 1.

Give me Durant.

I'd agree. The other 99.999% of the time however, I'll take Harden. But yeah KD's height makes him ideal for that scenario.

so harden is the best isolation scorer except when the game is on the line? then it’s kd because he’s taller.

got it.

I don't see why this is a point of confusion. If you have to get the ball in and take a last second shot with limited time to create in isolation, which is an extremely rare situation...yeah sure I'll take the guy who can get a clean shot off by going straight up.

Otherwise I'll take the guy who scores more points and is a vastly better passer and does all that despite being game planned for vs. KD who's left one on one because his teammate is the guy the other team is game planning for.

As I pointed out the last time KD was in the playoffs without Curry he was terrible in isolation. 0.75 points per possession.

Durant all over the way. Harden's homosexual basketball doesn't work in playoffs when zebras ain't willing to send him to a free throw line after a lightest contact.

Strike for offensive post. Do not respond to user.
