lotto teams pick gaurd/wing heavy

He is like a more aggressive more explosive allen. those 2 could split 48 minutes at center and give us exactly what we need there. i know drafting a 7th man isnt sexy but id love the idea of having that duo long term and maybe one becomes an all-star making the toher expendable down the road?
You've always talked about the Nets needing talent. We'd be foolish if we started drafting for need now. If he's BPA, you take him.

Plus, Kenny believes in having a deep rotation. A 7th/8th man is valuable for us.

Having a Jokic/Nurkic-like "problem" down the road is never a bad thing. If they are willing to play together, great; if not, trade one and get a great return.

yeah i agree... which is why if he slid id hope we consider it. i think he could be as good as allen. and a different drynamic as he is more aggressive

Adding another young big will also keep Allen on his toes.

Hayes is 6'11.5 219lbs with a 7'4 wingspan. He is definitely worth a look but Atlanta needs a C besides Collins so they might snatch him up with one of their two picks.

I mean, BPA is sound strategy, AND it has a point of diminishing returns.

I agree that we should go after a backup C with one of our 1st-round picks. I don't want a Jarrett Allen clone, though. I want someone that can man the 5, and has a skill set complementary enough to envision the two of them playing on the court together for spot minutes. I know it doesn't "fit the system" to go with a Twin Towers setup, but as long as they can both switch screens, it doesn't matter. Lots of playoff times are going big for short spurts, just to throw a different look to the opposition. Jarrett and Ed were great this season, but there was no way they could play 8min together each night.

I know you're all waiting for me to bang the Bol Bol drum again, so here! Now I've said it.

Check out Luka Samanic. Looks like a Marks pick half way into the draft.

Correct me if i'm wrong but did our surgeon get Caris and Brooks feet right? I would take Bol Bol only on the understanding that he gets the all clear from our surgeon.

I'm more confident in Fall being a rotational big man than Bol reaching the crazy potential people believe he has

injury is a concern for anyone that tall... but to be honest his defense is a bigger concern for me with him being a 30+ mpg starter.

At the 1:32 mark, Clarke says he has a workout planned with the Nets. He could be great fit with your modern NBA style if he gets a reliable 3 ball. Would need to trade up to snag him though.
AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

His wing span being 6'8 is a bit concerning but I would trust Marks' judgement if he traded up to get him. Dude has some serious defensive chops and plays hard.

Sean Marks is definitely taking a hard look at Clarke.

Clarke is short for a power forward and only has a 6'8 wing span, I'd prefer someone bigger but if they like him though so be it.

He's also not a threat from outside from what I've seen of him.

You have to start wondering if, given his draft history, Marks has to start bluffing interest.

Yeah I mean I like Clarke but I don't know if what I saw from him on the college level translates to the pros as a frontcourt player. Wingspan and length are crucial on the pro level and his athleticism isn't elite enough to overcome that. However, he is a competitor and you just never know how these things shake out.

With the Nets having their highest pick in years at his disposal, I'm pretty sure he will.

I really like the fact that we won't know who he's going after until that person is actually picked.

I like him a lot. I think his skill set could translate similar to a Damontas Sabonis. I could see him having an immediate impact with a playoff team.
