Bulls Intrigued By Lonzo Ball

Post#2 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon May 20, 2019 4:39 am

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly interested in Lonzo Ball, according to K.C. Johnson.

The Bulls envision Ball's pass-first style as the key to unlocking Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., and Zach LaVine's talents.

Kris Dunn is said to have little value in a potential trade, raising the possibility of a 3-team deal.

Bulls could be the 3rd team in the inevitable AD - Lakers deal.

What's the asset the Bulls will be giving up to get Ball? I don't think #7 will be good enough.

Lonzo now is worth what a 2nd round pick?

If he goes to the Bulls, I wonder if Lavar going to say he will be the best Bulls player of all time lol

He’s still easily worth a first, let’s not get too carried away. His shooting is still a MAJOR deficiency, but he does other things well.

If he were to actually become an average shooter for his position (which is by no means guaranteed or perhaps even likely), he would be a very good PG overall.

It depends on who the Lakers pick at #3 or target via FA or trades. There’s been mention of some point guards, if they decide to move on from Lonzo then that will be more than enough. Or they could make a trade of Ball for the #7, just to facilitate an AD trade if that’s what NOP prefers.

OTOH if they’re planning to stay with him as starter, then he’s simply not going to be available for #7 or whatever other mid/late 1st.

I hope this is just the Bulls front office trying to get the Suns interested in trading for Ball so they can draft Garland instead.

I think the bulls would be over paying for a player that should be eventually a bench player.

But if I'm the pelicans, id say get this done. I'd move AD to the Lakers for #3, #7 a second rounder, Ingrahm and Kuz.

If lakers had the #3 then would be a good deal so they can pick Zion’s buddy.
But the Lakers got the #4 which the drop off in potential is huge

If they want to include the 4th pick id be willing to take on his salary and then waive that piece of trash

My bad, you are right. But I'd still take 4 and 7 with the players, over any deal including lonzo. But you are correct thanks for reminding me about that.

I'm not a fan of Lonzo, but right now, he's probably worth more than #7 in this draft.

The Lakers are making a mistake, what Lonzo does does not show up on a stat sheet. The Lakers will regret this for the next 10 years if they move him, and I thought LeBron having him on his show was a sign he appreciated Lonzo, guess I was wrong.

He fits like a glove on the Bulls so long he can hit 33-38 percent of his 3’s which is very possible going into next season. The Bulls will definitely make the playoffs if they trade for Lonzo Ball.
