The only way Butler is not a Sixer next season, if we don’t offer him 5-year max. He will quit if we don’t. But we have to, and I say we will.

Is Brown staying still a factor? Or does Jimmy feel better after the playoffs? He said the right things during his exit interview.

We will have options outside of Butler. I'll be interested to see if the top guys give us a look. Embiid needs to be recruiting.

Moneyball move if Jimmy walks is to re-sign JJ, sign Jeremy Lamb and add Dedmon.

Lamb is just 26. He’s a lengthy SG that can shoot and score off the ball, that fits the direction were trying to build. Hey, he hit two game winners against the Raps :)

Again, adding Dedmon will really help the team. Back-up C and drop off in defense when Biid sits is our team’s biggest problem

Then you cross your fingers that 1 or both of zhaire and lamb turns into atleast a borderline caliber guard.

No chance KD, Kawhi, Klay, Kyrie are considering us. No chance.

It's been interesting that the talk of Butler and Kyrie teaming up has all but died. Why else would Kyrie have put Minnesota on his 5 places he wanted traded to from Cleveland? Also, it was reported that Butler went to management(Thibs) to request that they trade for Irving, at the time they had just signed Teague and both Wiggins and Towns were made nontradeable by the owner(he actually pulled Wiggins out of the Butler trade).

Philly fans know this right?

Agreed. Also I don't really see how Kyrie and Butler succeed together to be honest.

Sure, they were close friends on the Olympic team, Butler's mentioned multiple times that Kyrie is the guy he'd most like to play with, they play pickup games together in the offseason, Kyrie listed Minnesota(with Butler there) to be traded to and now that both are free agents that no longer has any bearing on where either of them sign, got it!

Also, before the Harris trade, I thought it was possible that Butler would get Kyrie to sign with Philly.

This is from 2017.

Kyrie ditched future plans with Jimmy in favor of Kevin. Since they can actually compliment each other. I don't think Jimmy compliments anyone, tbh. He's at his best when he's carrying a mediocre team as the unquestioned best player.

He has carried teams to much better positions than Towns or Booker for sure.

Now we are bringing up year old articles saying Butler wants to play with Kyrie lol. I cant wait until July just to get this all over with. If Jimmy leaves, it will be because we didnt offer him a full 5 year max. Not because he wants to play with Kyrie on the Knicks lol.

LeBron recruiting Kawhi and Jimmy.

Can't really say it's a surprise. I fully expect Jimmy to re-sign here, though. Full 5-year max. We won't like it in year 5 and maybe not in year 4, but it's worth it to keep him here.

Jimmy is almost 30. He’d be insane to pass up a 5 year max deal. Wait.. he’s insane right? Hahaha

Tbh I'm alteady looking at potential replacements for Jimmy. If he stays then fine, If not then I won't exactly be devastated. I'll be good with either outcome. Taurean Prince via trade or Julius Randle In free agency are two names I'm looking at right now tbh. Both can get near 20 ppg, can hit threes, defend and can still improve.

60% of the cap tied to a 34 year old lebron and a 30 year old butler is a good way to build a team.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
