Booker for Simmons and Simmons. James Jones gets a fresh start as GM with a nice compliment to Ayton (more of a jump shooter than Embiid) and doesn't have to worry about Booker becoming disgruntled. Out of conference young star for young star exchange.

It opens the roster for the Sixers substantially with ball handling duties between Butler, Booker, and whoever we can get as a 5th role player.

G- Whoever
G - Booker
G - Butler
F - Harris
C - Embiid

Unstoppable offense.

I’d rather have Jimmy play as our fulltime PG there then have a 3&D wing who can guard guys like kawhi at SF. Like Middleton.

I'd be fine letting Shake, Zhaire, or our draft pick fight it out in training camp to get that spot. If Shake can get comfortable and fill out his body a little, he'd be ideal due to his height and ball handling ability.

If for whatever reason Tobias Harris and Boban sign with Brooklyn, my backup plan would include trying to trade 2nd round draft picks for Jerami Grant, assuming OKC has to shave payroll after spending 145m plus luxury taxes to watch the playoffs and are committed to another $145m already for next year. His $9.3m could come out of capspace or the MLE, I think. Also sign Tomas Satoransky and Nerlens Noel or Thomas Bryant Jr.

Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, Jimmy Butler, Jerami Grant, Joel Embiid
Tomas Satoransky, Zhaire Smith, Mike Scott, Jonah Bolden, Nerlens Noel
Shamorie Ponds, Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle, Nicolas Claxton, Daniel Gafford

Would love to have someone who can at least agitate Kawhi, KD, Giannis, etc.

What would it take to get the #8 pick from Atlanta? They have #10, and could maybe want to collect a late 1st plus 2 early 2nds and maybe Zhaire or Shake?

I'm thinking Elton Brand might be in love with Cam Reddish, who could slide into JJs role realistically.

Hawks would laugh you off the phone if you offered that.

Hawks have 3 2nds. They aren’t looking for more. I don’t think you can get to 8 for Reddish, assuming he even falls that far.

Hopefully, Booker can at least become a neutral on defense.

Booker is a chucker and awful on defence

Anyone advocating a trade of Simmons for Booker is an idiot

Look at Giannis against the Raptors

Playoff experience is everything

Thanks for calling me an idiot. It really promotes a strong discussion here.

Maybe one of these “playoff experiences” will finally rub off on Simmons and he’ll actually be a passable threat on offense in the second round.

Booker is being paid more than Embiid on his next contract

Let that sink in!

Sunk in, and it’s really not a pertinent point to the current argument.

Now that I have looked through them I shouldn't have posted it. They are all pretty bad for both teams. The only semi passable one is the Nets if Ben doesnt come back with improvements to his shot.(midseason trade)

I don't think there's a feasible trade to get up to that range unless you're trading one of Ben or Joel.

The Clippers, Lakers, and Nets trades are all bad for Philly.

The Knicks trade is bad for the Knicks.

If you can find a third team to give you something for 7, then the Bulls trade could possibly be feasible.

A lot depends on what happens with Butler and Harris. If they both come back on max deals and ownership isn't willing to max Simmons and spend enough to maintain a decent bench, it might make sense to trade Simmons for some reasonably priced role players and high draft picks. If either one walks you don't trade Simmons for anything less than another star who fits better.

Of course it would also be possible to keep all four at least one more year, then trade one next off season when there are fewer elite free agents.

Memphis gets Mills, Belinelli, J.Simmons, Bolden, and 24

Philly gets Bertans, Forbes, and 29

San Antonio gets Conley, Rabb, and 33

Trade Ben Simmons for Karl Towns.
Re-sign Butler and Tobias

Butler
Zhaire or some guy who can shoot
Tobias
Karl Towns
Biid

Towns for Ben straight up works salary wise.
You can still re-sign both Jimmy and Tobi after the trade.

Trade Toby for a 3&D wing if tobi at SF doesnt work.
