I have Warriors in 5 if Kevin Durant misses the Finals.
If Durant comes back and slows the Warriors motion based offense down with his ISO-style of play, Warriors in 6.

Re: 2019 NBA Finals Thread, Part 1 | Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors
This is the most excited I've been for an NBA Finals matchup since 2016.
Most of us saw the writing on the wall in 2017 & 2018 with KD on those Warriors teams. Last year for instance I completely skipped watching the Finals because I knew it would be a 4-0 sweep. Plus I was bored with yet another Cleveland/Golden State Finals match up.
But now there's a fresh set of faces in the Finals with a better overall team. So you can actually see them making the Warriors have to work for this one.

Whoever made that schedule is stupid. Why not just play every other night? Why the hell do they need 3 days in between games.

Kawhi is gonna be out for revenge.
Only way we get swept is if GSW pull something dirty which I don't put past after how they were with Harden and ofc how Kawhi got hurt in the first place.

On topic, it should be a good finals. Well matched opponents, good stories.

Looney can't do anything within a couple feet of the basket and that's Gasol's area
Siakam will shoot 3's and drive from hoop to hoop
Ibaka has a 3 pt game and a midrange game
both can do more with the ball than Looney can
But a combo of Green and Iggy can do most b/c they pass quickly under the rim. They were actually worse with a 6'11" Cousins under the rim b/c it dragged down their ball movement.

Lol, one more layer. Warrior fans also include old school LeBron haters who grew to like GS b/c of the Cav/GS rivalry.

Wonder which Warrior steps up to the plate and injures Kawhi this year. Green is the obvious pick but I think this is the year Klay really has an impact in the finals.

Draymond's 'natural body movements' may be the key to a GSW championship this season.

Didn’t say it was intentional. Read it again please. I just said that being reckless cannot be justified as just a freak accident.
Draymond plays with lots of passion, but that passion leads to him being reckless at times. Check out his poking the eye of Harden in this year’s play-offs for another example.
I didn’t say that he was a dirty guy, I don’t agree with those who say he would be looking to injure Kawhi.

I would put him on curry single coverage all series.
100% - exactly what I was thinking. Until KD returns, remove their biggest strength as much as possible.
Only problem is Curry gets switches all day long b/c of his off ball movement, won't always be KD

They clearly are though. Meaningless regular season games don’t mean anything.
Taken to 6 by the clippers at full strength. Blowing a 2 game and 20 point lead to a much weaker rockets while at full strength.
Have we been watching the same playoffs? Unless you think the warriors are better without durant, there's no reason to be confident in their chances vs toronto. They've played in the regular season just how they played in the postseason.
The raptors meanwhile won 4 against a bucks team that's fit theprofile of an elite champion up untill the raptors adjusted their offence in game 3. How anyone thinks the warriors are favorites with durant, much less without him is hilarious.

I have a feeling it will be Warriors in 5, but I'm really excited for Game 1 and my opinion could shift quite a bit depending on how things go. The Raps need to prove they can defend their home court advantage, that first game means everything.
