Bill Buckner passed away today after a long fight with Dementia. For many years, Buckner's name was synonymous with Bad Luck in Boston after his famous error that cost the Sox the WS (well, technically it cost them game 6, then they went on to lose game 7). Thankfully after finally winning the WS, most Sox fans have long forgotten Buckner's error, and are able to remember him for the really, really good player that he was.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

edit - sorry, didn't see the other post that was already made about this.

Bruins are very fortunate they are not playing the Sharks.

It isn't because San Jose are good, it is because their stadium is so bad.

That HP Pavilion/SAP Center is disgusting, poorly-designed, and dangerous.

There are a hundred or more billion-dollar companies within a few blocks of that place, but they can't afford one clean restroom in the building? Third World standards, the food and the condition of the place. Outside, people standing on the sidewalk or road to line up? Horrible design. The boards seem extra hard as well, maybe too much Silicon.

Of course, it is much better to be in downtown San Jose late at night than in downtown St. Louis.

The Bruins should dedicate this Cup to the Tampa Bay Lightning, fools who thought the season was over a few months ago.

100 percent. They could learn a thing or two from the bruins. About being mentally tougher.

If a year ago somebody said "this time next year 3 of the 4 Boston teams will hold their respective championship title" I would have bet my damn house that the Celtics would be 1 of the 3.

It really pours salt on the wound to a crap season.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Looked like two penalties that could have been called on St. Louis in OT then they call one on the B's and the Blues immediately score. Terrible.

Tough to blame the refs tho, Blues absolutely dominated that brief OT.

Nothing Rask could have done about that last shot...he didn't deserve the L

Judging by how they didn't make those calls on the Blues, I thought they put the whistles away for overtime, but apparently not. One of the reasons the Blues were able to hold it in our zone so long was because of their holds.

Yep. The Blues were getting away with murder the entire OT period. Bs were tired out by Gryz’s injury and that was all she wrote. St Louis is a dirty, dirty team.
