Let’s get him ! Y’all are obsessed with trash.

For the salary, productivity, I would take Melton 100% of the time ! FVV has a role playing 30+ min on the bench on a winning team!

When Melton has FVV experience he will be better on offense and definitely on defense

Come on man. Melton may be all you say someday but he aint right now. We are talking about a key piece on a Finals team and a player that had a hard time getting minutes on a 19 win team, its not comparable right now.

Fred is also 22-33 on 3pters the past 4 games. He's on a hell of a heater.

Freeing up the cap space may be difficult but is doable....

trade TJ/JJ for JR Smith then waiving him immediately would open up some cap room .... gambo was talking about that yesterday

Waiting for the AD stuff to play out, but IMO he is going to request a trade still and the Pelicans are going to want to rebuild immediately.
Trade the 6th pick, Tyler Johnson, Josh Jackson, Bucks pick for Jrue Holiday. Use the MLE to sign Julius Randle. Keep Oubre.

Jrue / Book / KO / Warren / Ayton + Bridges/Randle/Okobo

I would love that.

Jones said the injury occurred Friday, and was not related to Jackson’s arrest in May in Miami. Jackson was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and escape.

Just a thought, but for those who say Kelly Oubre isn't a must sign, a team like the Blazers would absolutely kill for him I'd bet.

Yeah hed be a good fit there. Good thing they only have the mle to offer :)

Must sign is a little much because if a star wanted to come here and they needed the cap space you have to do it and wish Kelly well or if some team goes crazy and offers like 20 mil per year then you probably have to pass.

But in most realistic scenario's I'd bring him back. He's young enough and has the raw tools where there's still some development potential. He plays hard which is needed. And I don't discount the cultural aspect. He came to Phoenix and gueninely seems to like it and want to take on a leadership role. He seems like a very popular guy in the locker room and being in the same draft class/age group as Booker there's potential recruitment opportunities for other guys around that age who might come available the next few years. That kind of stuff matters these days as guys around the league are closer than ever and tend to hatch up plans to try and play together.

If GSW loses Durant, Oubre would be awesome for them. He’s going to draw so much interest around the league. Good for the Suns that he seems like he really wants to be in Phoenix.

They're another team with just the MLE. Its the cap space teams that could make a run at him. Atlanta and NY seem like possibilities because they could strike out early in FA and have a pile of money they need to give to someone. Maybe Utah could come into play if they let some of their guys walk, same with Indiana I guess.

Oubre is a must keep for me. I’d rather trade Warren and Jackson for cap relief if we were trying to open up cap space to sign someone else.

How much $ will a guy like Kevon Looney command in the off season? This guy is so underrated

No way Randle comes to us for the MLE. He's coming off a career year and is going to be looking at Oubre money or better. MLE is like 10M. He's going to command closer to 20m. I'd love for it to happen, but it wont at that price point.

Based on my visits here and at BSotS over the past couple months, I know I'm one of the rare ones. But again I'll chime...

...and bring in a quality PF with the $$.

Roll with Bridges, Warren and (wincing) Jackson at SF, going forward.

Oubre is a good young player, but if it were my call, I'd let him go, in order to fully enable the PF possibilities. I'm happily buying land on "Mikal Warren" Island.

But! It sure seems like Kelly Oubre is going to get a sweet deal from the Suns if the "crowd noise" means anything. Oh well, KO retained won't be a disaster, just far from the optimum path IMO.

Yours isn’t a popular opinion but I’m kinda feeling the same way.

I think Oubre is gonna cost $15M+/yr and I think it’s somewhat scary to commit that type of money on a longterm contract who has only showed promise for such a short period of time.

I do like his game overall because he can create his own shot consistently but with his limitations having tunnel vision sometimes makes it a tough decision imo.

I like Bridges as a SF longterm. Because Warren suffers so many injuries and seems to have some mental stuff going on as well (based on his comments at the end of the season) I think it might be best to trade him while his value is somewhat high.

Jackson isn’t an NBA caliber and similar to Archie Goodwin who flamed our after leaving the Suns, Jackson will as well. He will be playing in Europe or China soon enough.

It’s not just KO’s offensive skill set that I’m interested in. His defensive skills he’s shown while here reminds me of Marion-lite. He has the capability to guard almost anyone on the court with his wingspan, athleticism, and explosiveness. Almost a perfect hybrid 4 in the modern era of basketball.
Warren and Jackson are both just limited. I see Oubre as a jack of all trades and could potentially be a one or two time all-star in his career.
