So long, Kyrie...it's a shame, but the guy seems like a complete me me me a-hole...C's were walking on eggshells to please him all season.
I'd still trade for Davis if we could though.

Couple ideas if Kyrie bails, no AD, and Horford wants to go to a contender. Al opts in first.

Clippers:
------------
Horford for Gallo, Robinson & PHI 2020 lotto protected 1st.
Let's the Clippers sign Kawhi, add Al and keep FA holds for Zubac, Beverly, Green
MLE on Dedmon/BroLo

SGA, Shamet, Kawhi, Al, Dedmon
LouWill, Beverly, Green, Harrell, Zubac

That's a legit contender.

Thunder
-------
Straight up for Adams. Thunder go for it now, get better shooting and defensive versatility. Al gets to play with his college coach again. We get the younger guy, with a longer contract, and a legit 7 footer. Could allow you to play Jaylen, Jayson & Gordon together.

Any chance we switch of Philly's pick for the Miami pick?

Would be nice, for sure, but I'm guessing not. I'm going under the assumption that we don't have a ton of leverage since Al could just straight opt out. BUT, he does want to go to a contender, who won't be able/want to spend $30M on him, so we do have some. My guess is it's enough to get the PHI pick, but not enough to get the unprotected MIA one. Clips would just pass on Al and look at other trades rather than give that up, imo.

Yep probably right. Perhaps a pick swap our way might have hypothetically met in the middle. Gallo healthy has been a pleasant surprise on the season

I kinda feel the same. Problem with it is that logical thing is that you'll always get something for the guy. He's still 27 and sought after/highly regarded, so I guess I'm rooting to resign him and then trade his ass away.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I feel that way as well. I don't even want to risk his contract unless it is a S&T (which would let another team pay him the higher max level) out the door immediately. Wouldn't surprise me if Baynes and Horford want to play elsewhere if it looks like he could be back here.

The resign and trade away has been my dream all along.

The Clippers showed the way with Blake Griffin and now they're sitting pretty.

My ideal scenerio, trade for AD. Resign Irving.

Trade Irving for an all-star level player that isn't going to be a malcontent in under 2 years time either before the season or very early (more likely to be able to pull that off in the off season though) to pair with AD.

Ideally one that can hit a 3 and do the playmaking that AD doesn't do in order to compliment him and whatever is left on our roster (Probably Hayward and Horford and young players or vets signed on one year deals).

People should keep listening to the media and people with agendas. Let them help you in forming your opinions. When kyrie re-signs don't be surprised and upset. No one knows where kyrie is going to go but keep believing everything you hear, see, or watch. I am just going to let things unfold on its own. What it is meant to be ,will happen on its own.

+1

S&T him away and do the same with Rozier. Would love to get Rubio + whatever Kyrie can haul and round out the roster.

Rubio
Brown/Smart
Tatum
Hayward/Morris
Horford(on restructured deal)/Baynes

Is a good core. Hopefully Ainge can do better than that, though.

BOS-BKN

Post#597 » by Mr 617 » Mon Jun 3, 2019 1:03 am

BOS Out: Kyrie + 1st Bos 19-20
BOS In: D'Angelo Russel + Allen Crabbe

BKN vice versa

Why BKN? They've stated they want both Ky and D-lo in the same backcourt which might work if Dinwiddie wasn't on the team, rather than have three PG's (which is a tried and true trainwreck in the NBA) get rid of salary and add a superstar plus cheap young talent. Use the new cap space to sign a friend of ky's (Kd or whatnot) to try and go from last to first in the East's playoff race next year.

Why BOS? we get to swap PG's with shaky locker room presences (D-LO and nick young if you remember) but we go about 15 mil cheaper, younger and shoots less. Crabbe is a filler salary to lower D-Lo's sign and trade salary, throw a bonus his way and set the standard for JB7 and J0 at about 20mil but more for the hometown savages.

BOS-PHX

Post#598 » by Mr 617 » Mon Jun 3, 2019 1:08 am

BOS Out: Scary Terry
BOS In: 6th pick

PHX vice versa

Why PHX? rather than gamble on a guy who played four games in college (garland) or just not sold on anyone not named Ja get a guy who averaged 16-5-5 in the playoffs a year ago, someplace your organization hasn't been in ages

BOS? we get another asset to get AD and get a guy who wants more playing time a starting role and a big payday

Theres no reason for Phoenix to do this. The 6th pick is significantly more valuable than Rozier

People's biggest mistake is thinking Boston would have to throw everything up in the air if Kyrie leaves. That's just wrong and lazy..had we not made the Kyrie trade in the first place, we would pretty much be exactly where we are today roster and asset wise. Just keep building..
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!
