In my humble opinion, Ja Morant is the type of prospect you give up the farm to get much like Zion is viewed in this draft.

I'd offer 6, Warren and our 2021 first (top 3 protected) for #2.

Morant
Booker
Jackson
Chriss
Ayton

I'd expect that team to compete for the playoffs in the next 2 years with the right coaching and veteran leadership from ancillary pieces. Of course, I think Phoenix will end up signing some bad veteran FAs or trade for Lowry or Conley instead.

Your trade is so dumb and adding protections to the 2021 pick just makes it dumber..

People in here are acting like he has a 5 year extension kicking in. The contract is not an albatross at this point. He has 2 years (1+1) and 66 million left on the deal.

He is not in the same category as Chris Paul (3 years, 124 million) and John Wall (4 years, 170 million).

Conley is good.. Lakers should try and get him and Beal if things fall through with AD and Kawhi and or Kyrie.. If KD left GSW then a combination of Beal Conely and LBJ could win a championship..

I second/nth the folks saying Jrue. Love that idea. And disagree that he's better as a 2, especially for a team that has Booker.

His scoring abilities relieve Booker of so much pressure, and the team gets better all around a guy that controls pace and is unselfish like Jrue. With that and a few tweaks they're a playoff team next year.

Also enjoy the idea from whoever said Wall. Not sure how that would work out if he's healthy, but he'd definitely change how they could play.

It's looking like a really fun offseason and free agency for hoops fans.

How did Jrue work with Davis when he played PG.. Did it work a lot better when Rondo played PG and Jrue moved to SG??? Now contrast that over the years with how Conely has played with Gasol.. I would probably go with the guy who has a lot more playoff experience and is a better PG.. John Wall is likely to miss all of next season.. If he was healthy then yeah maybe if your willing to pay deep into the luxury tax when Ayton comes up... Conley is a better fit and it's not really close..

That's better than John Wall call who will likely be out all next year and has longer on his contract.. CP3 would make this team a lot better as long as he is on the court..

I think it's less that Jrue is better as an SG as it's that the Pelicans only had one creator on the floor before Rondo got there. Adding a second playmaker changed the math for the entire team, not to mention Rondo's defense letting Jrue really dig in on shooting guards with weaker handles. I think you'd see a similar offensive uptick from him if they had brought in another smart but slower player like Iguoudala, Kevin Love, Millsap, even relative bums like Batum, Parsons and Evan Turner would have helped. Ingles is the guy who would have fit best. All the shooting you get from Mirotic plus most of the ball handling you get from Rondo.

For me, Rondo is hall of fame pg so saying he was better for Davis Ill agree with that.

As for the Conley vs Jrue debate I agree there too that Conley’s the better PG. however i didnt know if Phx plan for the future could involve Conley due to his age, which I think of as high. Maybe he and Jrue same age but i think of Jrue younger for some reason. If Conley wants Phx and vice versa yes he’s a better PG. Just wasnt sure if he’s in the cards.

Jrue is sort of hybrid and seems most attainable, and with Booker scheduled for a lot of ball in his hands and attempts, I like Jrue’s ability to fill in gaps of whatever’s needed. Conley controls tempo a little better than Jrue if the ball in his hands.

Defensively im not certain but Jrue might get the nod.

Speaking of Rondo, he can help most any team. Any idea where he could end up? I can seem him helping Phx too if people could give him a fair shot and not focus on perceived baggage. Rondo still one kf the most undervalued players in the league imo.
