All around? No. Iggy was basically a poor man's Lebron in terms of stat stuffing and playmaking in his prime.
Defensively though, Frank has the potential to match.
So Frank as a sixth man that only comes in to guard the opposing best player in spirts?
Frank has to become consistent on the offensive end to warrant any playing time IMO.
Frank as a defensive stopper has value for a team filled with star weapons. But to your point you want him to be able to hit a 3 at a high percentage if left open or be able to drive if he has the lane. If he's traded they likely have soured enough on his offensive game to believe his value isn't that high even with great defensive potential.

RJ will probably turn down their requests unless he really wants to play with Zion.
Zion may be his best friend but I won’t be surprised if RJ has this competitive fire in him that would want to prove everyone wrong in terms of who should be the #1 guy in this draft all along.

He has the opportunity to do that while being his teamate as well.

I don't think rj wants to go to new orleans i think rj wants to be on knicks or lakers. Plus he already turned down a workout with memphis that's small market team as new orleans is it doesn't matter if zion there , rj wants to do his own thing.

RJ probably better off doing it in a different team rather than be accused of taking shots away from Zion.
Also I think there are other players in this draft that would complement Zion more.If I were the Pelicans I would explore teaming him up with a floor spacer like Garland.

Id love to see Zion and Barret together. I think their games compliment each other well. They are like the modern day "lite" version of Lebron and Wade. They have great chemistry together and they could grow into all stars/stars together. If im the Pelicans, i would love to pair up Zion with either Barret or Morant.
Then you get a bag for Jrue and start fresh with some great young talent.

well he had a year of that opportunity and it didn't work out very well for him so I doubt he wants to go back to being overshadowed he is a competitor

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
The problem is Frank has shown next to nothing when it comes to shooting or creating shots for him or others off the dribble. If this was the 90's you can live with it better but with the game shifted so much towards offense and shooting it's real hard to have him on the floor for any length of time even if he is better defensively than most of his teammates (which in and of itself really isnt saying much considering most of his teammates are poor defenders). Hed be best to spend all his free time working on his outside shot. Forget about creating off the dribble or passing. Shooting is the easier thing to learn. Creating shots and having an instictive feel for passing is a lot harder to learn (if even possible). His likely trajectory is a 3 and D role player, not a starting PG. Focus on what is most realistic. I'm not sure either he or the Knicks have any specific plans or are actively focused on any of this is my concern.KnixinSix wrote:jermsknicks wrote:GONYK wrote:All around? Remember Aaron McKie who used to play for the 76's? Frank kinda reminds me of him - one of the 90's types of defensive minded utility guys you alluded to. I agree with your assessment and recommendations for Frank.

Yeah maybe a 3 and D guy. But the D is so good and if you get 3 stars on the floor with him his lack of O can be mitigated a bit. Also if the others teams best player is a 1 2 or even a small 3 he could be quite valuable for shutting them down. Just hit the open shot and play some D.

Which is why the moment we got pick 3 we had the ammo the make a very appealing offer to New Orleans. Maybe even moreso that they got pick 1. Two elite blue chip rookies who already have played together in college team and cost controlled for the next 5 years that undoubtedly has very strong value to what Griffen would likelysee as the ideal scenario NOLA moving forward .

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
Yes! McKie is definitely a guy that made an impact off the bench for a real good Sixers team. That def would be a realistic trajectory for Frank.RHODEY wrote:moocow007 wrote:The problem is Frank has shown next to nothing when it comes to shooting or creating shots for him or others off the dribble. I wish the Draft was held after free agency like the NFL. I think Barrett and Culver are close and what we do in free agency could give us a better idea of who to take based on fit.
