Trade them all for Anthony Davis, and someone will sign up with play with AD, creating a superstar 1-2 combo. Maybe Durant would.

Kevin Durant + Anthony Davis is an instant ECF appearance, in a battle with Toronto for the Finals.

They think all his weaknesses are similar to RJ but RJ is twice the overall player with a higher ceiling

Their ages.
All rookie scale contracts.

There would be no rush to win it all in a three or four year window. It would be a start. Like Embiid-Simmons-Fultz or Jokic-Murray-Harris....Luka-KP, etc.

I want guys wanting to come here because of the excitement based on the product on the floor. Not to save us from our own inept ways; such a sorry narrative.
Culcha.

This could be the beginnings of that.
Where’s our Paul Pierce or Wade incumbent guy that makes this make basketball sense? Our Rondo or Perk off limits guys? I really liked the idea of building thins the right way. I dunno man. This just feels wrong.

Reason I'm cool with us getting RJ is he looks like Marlo from the wire

Honestly, it’s really cool that the Knicks have a chance to draft a stud swing man who has the potential to be a star.

Ive dogged RJ a lot throughout the process.

But I am finally back on his train. For me what separates him from Culver, Garland and others is his experience running the offense at duke. This is so important, as a rookie/freshman to have the epxerience running hte PNR at the top, to be responsible to dribble the ball up the court seems like dumb and nothing, but in the NBA it means hes used to seeing passing lanes. Used to idenitfying coverages. Knowing where the strong/weak side help is flowing from.

It seems nothing, but if his ceiling is high, and he eventually becomes a high USG player, the fact that he's got a head start on Culver in these situations means that he's going to be better from the start. This is why people are comping him to Harden. He's got a solid frame already and can move with and without the ball.

I think he's worth keeping over a non guaranteed KD + AD combo.

it’s an offseason of big volatility for knicks, and it takes a lot to turn it into a disastrous offseason. but drafting and keeping rj is a pretty big step towards it happening.

kd would be silly to go to this team without another big positive player.
