Trade Frank to OKC for Patterson and Roberson, 21 and next year’s lotto protected pick. Buy a pick from Atlanta to Philly. Patterson and Roberson will rub off on the young fellas; you won’t find two more quality guys.
And they’re both non factors on the court (Roberson because of injury) for the most part and won’t stifle the kids developing.

Then I’m helping the Suns.
Give us Tyler Johnson (a Heat college alum) and his crazy contract for a second rounder this year and the Bucks unprotected pick next year. They do this to sign Dlo.
We can add Josh Jackson to the mix if need be. They seem ready to move on from him and his contract.
Sign Brogdon to a one and one.

Mitch-
Knox-Patterson-J.Jax
RJ-Dot-Roberson
Brogdon-Trier-Jenkins
DSJ-T.Johnson-Allen

When the highest paid guys are the hardest workers....that grabs and speaks to the young fellas.

It’s a likely lotto team unless a few of the young guys make a leap. But there would be balance and we would be a team.

The names or teams are really irrelevant.
Just want us to be savvy with these decisions.

agreed here...i just don't think we say no to KD now...its just not something I see the organization doing. I see them rallying around him and committing to him and building him back up. We don't have too many other options here.

It'll be less painful when people begin to understand that Durant won't even play next year, and will never be the same.

I think you're right. The problem I see is how this effects other top players willing to come here. Are we still on AD's list if KD is out a year? Is Kawhi willing to come without KD to help with load management for a year. Is Kyrie willing to throw a year of his career away waiting for KD to heal.

No max. Gary Harris like contract.

We can get Durant too. Just no reason to trade for a running mate yet. We get to build what we have a bit more.

It would be a massive massive mistake to invest in an aging star player coming off a devastating injury.

even if they dont get any max FA's, I think they should sign 2nd/3rd tier FA's (guys like Morris, Ross, Green, etc) to 1yr bloated deals to keep the team competitive. the kids need vets around them to take the pressure off them

the lottery odds this year proved that they dont have to be the worst to get a top pick, might as well try to be competitive

Nah we need to rebuild through the draft. Trying to stay competitive with players like Morris does nothing for us in the long term bro. The best thing we can do is to stack up on young talent and develop them. Worry about free agents later when we have our core in place.

With RJ, DSJ, Mitch, and Knox (tho I'm not a fan), they already have young talent. Plus with the lottery odds flattening, there's less incentive to tank because it doesn't ensure the top picks.

IMO the young players will develop better with vets playing around them because they will learn to play with more control; by having to differ more to vets, and not having to take all the pressure on themselves, they'll learn to play more efficiently.

I just think it's better (now with the new odds) to have a more professional team than a glorified college team (which is what the Knicks were last season)

I doubt Myers is blubbering over a strain.

On the other hand things are so upside down these days that it wouldn’t even rank in the top 20 weirdest things of the last 10 years.

Doctors would already know if it's ruptured. If it is, there would be nothnig to feel in the back of his leg. If it's partially torn, it's less clear. They seem to have a very good and obvious reason to think it's a severe achillies injury to begin damage control tonight.

handing out 21m per year to Brogden coming off a 17 win season sounds painful.

Dumb question here but wouldn't this injury basically confirm that Durant is going to sign his player option?

What you guys are missing is that maybe KD’s body is breaking down which would be a bad thing if he was on a big contract in NY.

Just keep building and forget it unless he’s really not that injured — don’t know about why he did what he did but Myers’ appearance was theatrical and bordering on bizarre.

It doesn’t all add up does it.

the more I think on it the more infuriating it is. All week we were hearing **** questioning his injury and his commitment. he plays then ruptures his achilles then the FO heads to a podium gives crocodile tears, says it's not related, then acts big like he will take the blame. how f*cking magnanimous of you you f'ing c*nt.

Chances of us maxing KD went up imo. This way Pills can get the cake and eat it too; Sign a star and let him rehab for a full year and keep building with our young core+RJ without having to go all in. Sign a bunch of 1 year deals and Attack free agency next year.

High chance KD investment blow in our faces but it's not something we don't used to and I really think ownership and Pills won't give a F. I really do. It's a go big or go home and they'll have to bet on KD ability to fully recover. Because lets face it, Other than the Kwahi prayer thats still their best plan, and most realistic one.
