Athleticism plus size is always going to be an in demand talent. Giannis has shown this to be true to the highest degree. Hayes has the size that could be one of the most dominant guys on the court if he gains some muslce.

5. Trade pick to solely drop salary (worst move to me).

I'd just rather us trade up in the draft than trade for an allstar player. Our greatest concern going forward is the cap so getting a star rookie is pretty important. Trade a future 1st to move up this year?

If you asked me, I'd rather get Coby White on a rookie year deal than give Beal the max.

Hayes has a big body and should be able to add muscle to his frame.

I have his comps as follows:

Elite comp- Tyson Chandler
Standard comp- Jarrett Allen
Bust comp- Ryan Hollins

He just started playing basketball 3 years ago, I have a hard time he is just going to develop an above average shot or post game. His upside is limited to me on how well he can communicate on the defensive side of the floor.

He has a very low chance of being an allstar player to me, but a high chance of being a rotation player= high floor, but low ceiling.

The problem is that GMs like to emulate a winner... a Rim Runner works in Golden State or Hou surrounded by stellar 3 pt shooters. But a rim runner needs to be surrounded by the right players. I think for the Hornets in particular, unless we're somehow able to land a couple true knockdown shooters, a more versatile player like Bitadze is a better fit. Maxim: the less talent you have on your squad the more versatile each individual needs to be.

You are exactly right. We have the least talented roster in the league. How is a guy like Hayes or Clarke gonna help with that at all? Sweet the hustle, play good D, and rebound. That won’t really help when the team is struggling to put up 90 points on a night basis. Sure, guys like Clarke, Fernando, and Hayes might be fine in teams like Houston, GSW, Toronto; but here? Would be such a waste of a pick
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

He's not at all ! He's pro since he's 15 and plays vs grown men since 3yrs ! Probably has more bball experience than all the other player in the draft combined.

Surely not a baby

Don't think you understood what I meant. Hes going to be a really good player, though.

I think Sekou will be gone by the 6th pick. He won't make it to 12.

Rui, and nassir intrigue me alot. I would be pretty happy with either one. If sekou somehow falls to us it would wise to grab him. Those are my 3 targets.

Now is not the time to be drafting for need. We need to keep drafting for players with high upside and to a potential and Recycling them until we hit on a franchise player. Defensive Specialists are luxury at this point.

Hey guys I have updated my picks and it kinda makes sense for me at least.

#12 - Nickeil Alex.-Wal.
#36 - Luka Samanic, Josh Obeishie, Isaiah Roby, Jalen McDaniels
#51 - Tyler Cook

The reason why is because it gives me the BEST odds of landing a player I truly want at the #36 spot.
Heck Luka Samanic might even still be on the board at that spot.
While also giving us player who should be solid in Nickeil Walker and gives us insurance on Kemba.

See if I were to draft Luka Samanic with the #12, that would only allow me to HOPE that Obeishie was still on the board
at #36 because it wouldn't make sense to draft Luka Samanic and have Miles Bridges and draft Isaiah Roby and or Jalen Mcdanials.

I would be drafting the SAME position.

I also really like Tyler cook who should still be there at #51

This is what I hope happens

#12 - Nickeil Alex.-Wal.
#36 - Josh Obeishie
#51 - Tyler Cook

New Roster

NAW - Kemba - We can part ways with kemba since he will be getting pretty old and have a nice young core
Obeishie - Lamb
Bacon - Batum
Bridges - Marvin
Cook - Biz

And we can still invite a player like B.J. Taylor to camp. and it gives us a Center (who should still be there in Cook)

Actually I have a much much better Idea. Trade #12 for pick #30 and 2 future lottery protected 1st rounders and select

#30 - Josh Obeishie
#36 - Isaiah Roby, Jalen McDaniels, Tyler Cook,
#51 - B.J. Taylor, Arturs Zagars,

Or take Luka at 30 if hes still there.

Grant Williams seems to be picking up a lot of hype as a guy who could be had late in the first or the second and end up as a great role player. Any chance we might have interest to him at 36?
