They have showed it doesn't matter if they are covered. Sometimes I think ppl play lack defense on them , not totally hindering their shot every way possible while it's in the air. You can't just pass them with a hand in their face you know what I mean?

Limiting their touches at the end of the shot clock could go a long way.

True. Easier said than done. Van Vleet has been guarding Curry as well as I've seen anyone doing. But Thompson, the man is getting every shot he wants.

simply put, the raptors had no business being in the game....we played badly for 90% of the game; we couldnt set out offence plays & has defensive letdowns...we missed open shots, we make like 2-3 more of the 3 pt shots, the game would have been over.

I felt bad about it yesterday, but now im over it...

dumb timeout by Nurse. Lowry messed up multiple plays. Couldn't defend the 3 down the stretch.

Fred should have driven to the hoop after the successful pump fake that had him shake Curry... We should not be shooting threes as last option as Kerr had Draymond switching to Lowry. Kawhi also waited too long to defer out of the double team. Should have been Fred's play to finish.

The pictures of the Alcohol, the props, the trophy, and Bill Russell waiting in the tunnel near the end of the game, kills me, they were that close and they blew it.

They only needed to get 2 minutes right, now they have to get another 48 mins right. Making this so hard on themselves.

I'll be honest those timeouts are still haunting me. ****

wasting all that time and then going for 3 when we're down 1 is really stupid on our part. Seriously, just take any shot quickly and then give yourself enough time for a putback or even foul cause you'd be down 3 with a chance to take a it to OT.... just awful execution from our coaching staff and players.

I trust Kawhi to shoot it over 3 guys than I do Lowry to shoot any shot within 1 minute left. Fred should've forced it too. Lowry has blown these type of moments so many times, you just can't give it to him unless it's a wide open layup.

How does a competent coach with timeouts not call a time out after that Draymond half court violation turn over to scheme for the winning basket for a championship with over 15 seconds left on the clock on your home floor????

Give Kawhi the ball and let him figure it out? That is this guys game plan most of the time and Kawhi just does it to his credit.

This dude is an idiot of the highest order who lucked into having a player like Kawhi and a roster with some matchup nightmare players on his finger tips.

we had a chance to go for a quick shot and foul and still only be down 3... like how the **** do you not take a timeout and setup for a good look being down only 1.... just insane when i think about it. :banghead:

These kind of blunders don’t go unpunished especially against a championship caliber team in a series. We shall see.

That final play is gonna haunt nurse and this entire city for decades if we end up losing in 7. Absolutely inexcusable to not call a timeout there and draw up an elaborate play with 15 seconds left to clinch the championship. Hearing nurse talk about it after the game made it sound like it was a pre-season game vs the Atlanta Hawks. Smfh. "I trusted our guys there to figure it out because they're veterans" really?? That's his response??? Well Nick, your players trusted you to put them in a position to succeed. And you failed miserably.

Right, because he drew up all those plays when Kawhi went on the 10-0 run....

If the Raptors won then Nurse would be praised for letting his guys play and not calling a timeout.

Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka defend Toronto Raptors fans in wake of Kevin Durant injury - TSN.ca

Toronto Raptors stars Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka have come to the defence of fans of the franchise after some inside Scotiabank Arena were heard cheering when Kevin Durant went down with an injury in Game 5 on Monday night.

Durant dropped to the ground early in the second quarter, holding his lower right leg. The Raptors players urged their fans to stop cheering, waiving their hands in a downward motion. Durant, who had missed the previous four games in the series due to injury, is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles on the play.

Ibaka, who noted he did not initially know the severity of Durant's injury when he lost the ball, pointed to the fans chanting "KD!" while Durant remained down as proof of the class of the Toronto fanbase.

“It’s an emotional game and fans they’re excited,” Ibaka explained to The Athletic. “Sometimes, when you’re excited, you kind of forget who you are, so it was our job to tell them to stop. And right away they stopped and they start cheering for him. That shows you how good our fans are. When you are emotional, you can sometimes forget, but the good thing about it, the crowd was cheering his name and to me that’s most important.”

“I think that I don’t think the fans knew the significance of the injury. They kind of just seen he went down,” Lowry added. “In this league we’re all brothers. At the end of the day, we’re all brothers and it’s a small brotherhood and you never want to see a competitor like him go down. You don’t know what the circumstances are. And for me it was just, listen, we don’t want anything to ever happen like that. We don’t know what’s this or that. So I just kind of — we don’t want that type of stuff.”
